Romantic Hotels in Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan

First, we loved the onsen and its services, where we soaked in three pools of different temperatures, sweated in a sauna, then alternately cooled ourselves in cold baths. Second, room services were excellent despite its furnishings seemed to be run down a bit. Third, its location is central to travel most places of interest, which spreads out in Kagoshima Prefecture.

Hot spring hotel in an area renowned for its hot springs. I deliberately chose the Japanese tatami-style to experience more of the local culture. As you can see from the photos, the view from my room was really nice! I also like the fact that both dinner and breakfast were included, as there isn't much around. Very comfortable stay overall, but mind you - the smell of sulphur (possibly?) from the hot springs is always there!

An excellent hotel! I highly recommend this room type; it's incredibly spacious, comes with a kitchen and full set of utensils, and offers a fantastic volcano view. Truly impressive. I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Kagoshima! The hotel also has private sauna rooms available for a fee. You can easily book them by scanning a QR code in your room. The cost is 7,000 JPY for two people on weekdays and 9,000 JPY on weekends. I hope to have the chance to experience them during my next stay.

I know that the hotel is old, but I didn't know it was so old! I have stayed in dozens of Japanese hot spring hotels. This should be the oldest one. The public area on the first floor is also very small. There is only a foot bathing pool. The bathing place is not special, but the room type booked is 50 square meters, which is quite large. , You can watch the sunrise in the room in the morning Breakfast and dinner for one stay and two meals can only be given passing marks, it's too stingy

Located near Takachiho Peak, this hot spring hotel has a forest of 100-year-old cedar trees on the premises, as well as a huge hot spring lagoon, allowing you to feel the natural surroundings. The staff's welcoming, check-in, and check-out procedures were professional and left a good impression. The room itself was clean, but it was a little worn down with age, and unfortunately did not feel luxurious. However, the room was facing southwest above the main entrance, and we had a beautiful view of Kagoshima Airport and the sunset, so it was a comfortable stay. We were also grateful for the free bottled mineral water in the room. Since we stayed for two nights, the second night's dinner was specially prepared for us with a different menu from the previous night, and we were seated by the window where we could get a good view of the 100-year-old cedar trees. The food was made with local ingredients and looked beautiful, so we were very satisfied. Breakfast on the first day was very crowded and difficult. There were long lines for every dish, and children were running around. First, we had to take a tray, but the front of the line to be guided to our seat was in the same place as the tray table, so I thought the flow was poor and needed to be improved. On the other hand, even though we had breakfast at the same time on the second day, it was not crowded and we were able to eat quietly, so I think your luck with breakfast is unpredictable depending on how busy the hotel is. The location in the middle of nature, the huge hot spring lagoon, and the service from the staff were all very satisfying, and I would like to visit again.

This is my first leisure trip in 2025. That's a vey good experience trip with my wife. A modern and comfortable lobby lounge area provided a nice coffee area for a easy breakfast before my day trip. On the final day, i enjoyed the full buffet breakfast and staffs were really helpful with that gave people nice day beginning. Onsen provided me an refreshments daily and made me energetic, also relaxed me as happy ending. I forgot the female staff who received my fruit on 14Jan night. She and her colleague assist us to prepare the fruit which purchased outside. It was my nice dessert that night. Another memorable gentleman on 13Jan overnight, i was handling some business during overnight in sudden. Therefore, i went down lobby to complete it. He approached me for assistance and offering me help for wifi service. For the design of lobby, this is very great to locate the front desk towards the main entrance and the most front line to welcome guest. The FO team need to perform the most professional and consistently services. Especially the cold weather, they keep a good image to maintain professional. The shuttle bus driver was nice to take care us every evening back to hotel. For the room reservation, we selected the room with beautiful view Sakurajima and i could enjoy my drip coffee myself to see the sun raise. I will highly recommend this hotel to my friends.

1) Paddler services are not widely used in Japan, and I thought that there are few such wonderful paddler services. I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to Mr. Paddler A, who was indebted to me personally and provided a wonderful service to other customers as well. 2) Regarding meals, the comfortable food menu was sophisticated, and although it was a simple menu such as salads and hamburgers, it was made with great care and was delicious! (There are some other menus that I'm interested in, and I'm looking forward to the next time.) On the other hand, I wondered if there was another menu for creative dishes and breads. (I think there are personal tastes ...) 3) Regarding drinks, there were many local products such as original drinks, and I enjoyed it very much. On the other hand, regarding the serve of wine etc., although it is a luxury hotel restaurant and from 2000 yen / glass, there is no tasting, detailed explanation, follow-up, etc., so I was reluctant. 4) The atmosphere of the room, facilities and amenities (local brands and environmentally friendly products) are also excellent. In addition, two types of soaps were installed, and I was able to choose the scent that suits my mood. However, although the shaver is a high-class item, it is very heavy and not easy to use, so I think it would be more convenient if it was a little lighter and cheaper to use. thank you for helping me!

The staff is very attentive and polite. The rooms are large and comfortable, with indoor and outdoor hot springs. At the same time, there is a public hot spring with high privacy and a peaceful environment to relax the body and mind. The food provided by the hotel is fresh and prepared carefully, and the quality of the food is very high quality and exquisite. It should be noted that the hotel check in time is 1530.

Its a good place as a onsen resort hotel. The onsens are really good. The food is so so but they provide free flow ramen and ice-pop at night as supper and snack. The room is spacious, clean and quiet. There is a private onsen tub at the balcony of our room. It is so nice to enjoy it in the breezy spring. It will be better if you have own car to stay here. There do not have much choice of public transport direct to the hotel. But hotel staffs are also helpful to assist you to grab a taxi to any scenic spots nearby. The taxi drivers are all very nice. Even they can not speak english well, they tried very best to drive slowly when we pass by beautiful sakura park and use simple english to introduce few scenic places. The hotel limousine provided us one way when we arrived the jingu station and one way when we checked out from the hotel to jingu for free. I like their service and have great stays here!

There is a supermarket nearby, which I think is more convenient. The hotel and room environment is very good, and the private outdoor hot spring space in the room is also relatively large;  The only thing is that the hotel is located near the city. Although it is more convenient, it also sacrifices and lacks the landscape of . This depends on personal choice. But in general, it is considered a hotel worth staying in.
