I stayed on the way to Kashima. The basic seems to be business youth, but it was also convenient to stay with a bicycle. I was relieved to say that I could have a bicycle in the room. Living in a business hotel for more than half a year, Furukawa here is the lowest. I stayed at this hotel with several people but the reputation is very bad. Some people had insects. I had a job in Joso City and stayed at this route inn. It is a good location in front of Mizukaido Station of Kanto Railway. But other large buildings around the station were about Pachinko shops and funeral halls. There is a supermarket in the east direction from the route inn and about 300 meters in a straight line. If you are at the opposite exit of the station, there are seven eleven on the right 100 meters and family on the left 200 meters. Because it is a route inn, there is a restaurant in the building. I put my suitcase on the bed to unpack, and when I was I removed my suitcase and it was covered in dust. After the room cleaning was done, there is a layer of dust on many of the high touch areas. I just didn't understand how it could be so dusty. The ac in the room didn't work either. The thermostat shows it could cool the room down to 20C but it never got close. The coldest the room actually got was maybe 23 or 24C

Still, I was able to relax and there was a skiya chain store right in front of the hotel, so I was able to solve the meal problem cheaply. Hotel meals can be received for about 1000 yen if you book in advance. Breakfast was good too. Unfortunately, there is no bath in the hotel facilities, so you have to finish the shower inside the room.

The standards of the hotel, in terms of design, cleanliness & comfort amazed me and wife. Service from car park, reception to restaurant was really commendable. Breakfasts were meticulously served with first morning in Japanese set and the second in Western. I don't know how old the hotel is but the working and upkeeping condition of the interiors and fittings is superbly impressive and puts many newly opened hotels I had stayed to shame. For the price we paid, this is a really an unusually spacious hotel (room & public areas). During our 8 nights of travelling from Tokyo - Kusatsu - Minakami - Tokyo, this hotel was the best and we will highly recommend to anyone who visits Mito. My congratulation & praise to the staff and management of the Mito Plaza Hotel. Keep it up!

I went for a business trip for 2 weeks and the location and service was very good for a hotel very close to the train station. Breakfast was a ticket to a place in the station, it could looks a litter strange but offered a unique opportunity to try more place on the way for breakfast. Clean and quite!!

The location is very good for sightseeing in Kairakuen. There are frequent buses from Mito Station to Daikumachi Station, which is right in front of the hotel, so it is much more convenient than a hotel that is only halfway from the station. The West Hills Mito has a completely separate bathroom and toilet (twin room), which was also highly rated for its convenience. The breakfast was also delicious.

The Kodokan of the sightseeing spot is just behind the scenes, and it is recommended because it can be seen in 1 ～ 2 hours of free time.

This hotel has two strong attributes. It is five minutes walk from the railway station with its shops and restaurants and offers free car parking to guests albeit on a first come, first served basis. The car park has 16 spaces but in nearly two weeks I never had a problem getting a space although it was November. There are several more spaces under the hotel itself. There are local pay car parks close by but at 400-550 yen they aren't cheap. The hotel itself is dated and could do with a refresh especially in some of the the common areas. Stained carpets, with tatty and dirty paintwork in places aren't appealing and are easy to fix. That said, my room was clean, warm and the double bed was very comfortable. Unlike some Japanese hotels the bathroom wasn't one of these plastic capsules which looks like it has been dropped into the room. However, the bathroom itself while functional was again old. The TV had only Japanese channels but there was a fridge and a denji kettle for making tea and coffee. The wi-fi functioned fine. My room was no smoking but there was a whiff of cigarette smoke in the corridor. The staff were very friendly but spoke minimal English and offered me a bottle of water or a beer on arrival which was a lovely gesture. Reading this you might be thinking it all sounds a bit grim but it's not. It is an inexpensive hotel which is a bit tired and could do with updating. The location is great and the free car park is a real draw.

ウェルカムドリンクとお菓子がチェックイン時に貰えたり、ロビー横では基礎化粧品のパックの配布あり、部屋には風力強めのドライヤー、ヘアアイロン、ナノケアなどがあり、女性にも優しいホテルだなぁとつくづく感じました。 冬だったのでフリースの部屋着や枕も同フロアから選べました…が、先着順なので、競り負けると無くなってることもあります。。。 部屋のトイレとバスはかなり狭目です。まぁ、ビジネスホテルならこんなもんです。 お風呂は大浴場がおすすめで、女性用では脱衣所に沢山のシャンプーから選べたり、洗剤付きの洗濯機なども気が効いてると思います。 朝ごはんも温かいものもあり、美味しく頂きました。研究学園駅前には2つホテルがありますが、500円差くらいだったら、女性にはこちらの方がオススメです。

My husband was attending a conference at the adjacent conference center. I wasn't sure what to expect of this hotel from reading reviews. Overall the hotel is ”no frills” but I truly enjoyed my stay. The weather was lovely, so I opened the window at times to enjoy the air. Since it was not very hot outside, I did not miss AC which some reviewers mentioned as an issue. The only breakfast offered was a Japanese style breakfast and it was delicious! Always a fish and rice. Always miso soup with various toppings and always some form of seaweed. there were pickled veggies of all sorts depending on the morning. And often another form of protein such as beef or chicken or eggs as a side dish. Tea and coffee was great and all the juices. I absolutely loved the breakfasts and it filled me up until dinner time. Choose one of the larger sized rooms. Ours was on the small side but due to the thoughtful layout, it worked quite well for the two of us. The water pressure of the shower was fantastic and bath salts are provided if one likes baths. The bed, carpet and furnishings are outdated but in perfect condition and we found the mattress quite comfortable. One of the pillows was a traditional Japanese style which I tried and slept extremely well using it! It was easy to walk to everything using the bicycle path and I enjoyed the tree lined walk to the train station. I would definitely stay again!

Lopcation is 2 minute walk from train station and 5 minute walk from a nice park and the Tsukuba Space Center. My only complaint is that the breakfast is pretty inedible and way overpriced at $10. Walk 1 minute next door to the Starbucks or Mister Donut.
