The stay here is tremendously amazing! Every staff is professional, polite and helpful. The ambient is quite sweet and inviting. My Butler Vivian, super service-minded and detail-oriented, did a great job and brought my St Regis experience to a new level. She contacted me even one day before my arrival. I would definately revisit St Regis and would love recommed it to my friends who want a truly luxurious stay!

Four Seasons Hotel Tianjin

Binjiang Road/Xiao Bai Lou/Five Avenue Scenic Area
We had a really great experience with other Four Seasons properties before. However, the Four Seasons Tianjin experience is so so. Nothing is bad though but nothing is memorable either. The location is really good. We booked the Premier Suite King and stayed there for 3 nights. Room amenities are also average. No Dyson hair dryer like other Four Seasons hotels. No exquisite drinking water like MO. Room amenities are standard and average. Breakfast buffet quality is average 4-5 stars but not up to Four Seasons standard. You'll find an average convenience store bought butter and average quality smoked salmon. The food quality is also average even in the executive lounge. No personalized experience like other Four Seasons hotels.
Tangla Hotel Tianjin

One of the best hotel I've been to, ever! The rooms are clean and spacious, the staffs were super friendly and helpful, AND the location is fantastic! I love the bathtub - good hot soak in winter, and with a great view of the city below!! As this was the first hotel we stayed after landing in China (after 10 years), we had some trouble trying to setup all the local china apps which were necessities! We setup Meituan and Wechat pay while in SG, then when we tried to use it here, both got blocked! We seek help at the counter and one of the staff, a young lady, was so helpful to bring us to a guest room beside, and helped to call the customer support of these 2 apps and speaking to them in local terms - we speak mandarin, but had challenges trying to describe ”verification”, error message we got, and how we don't have a local china number we can use here. Btw, do try to get a SIM with local number, almost every reservations and bookings they will ask for a local number here! Location : opposite, just crossing the overhead bridge is the hottest shopping street - 滨江道步行街. Turn right from the hotel entrance and walk 1 min, take the escalator up, cross over the other side, and it's the start of the shopping street! There's even a mall that can be entered right from the same overhead bridge! Oh there's a supermarket in this mall, very convenient to get fruits and replenish mineral waters. We fell in love with the sour milk ”酸奶“ which is a mix between yogurt and milk. The must try food in the shopping street is the soufflé pancake! We tried all the flavors! The famous church in Tianjin is also just around the corner street behind the hotel - this one not my fav. The kids fell in love with a prata kind of 煎饼 which was their breakfast for 2 mornings! It's just 5 mins walk (out of the hotel door, turn right to the end). If you like beef noodles and spicy fish, there is a 李先生 just beside this - best beef noodles and best 酸菜鱼 we've tasted in this trip! Especially tasty in cold winter I'm guessing! We had this for breakfast in 2 mornings! Funny we didn't see this chain anymore in Beijing. If I come back to Tianjin, I'll definitely stay in Tangla again!

The apartment hotel is in a good location, close to Fifth Avenue. There is a 711 downstairs, and there are bakeries, 711, and Japanese restaurants next to it. The room is large, clean and suitable for family living. It's just that the bed in the single room is a bit small, which makes it a bit tight for a family of four. Because it is the Qingming Festival holiday, the breakfast reception capacity is not good. The staff were obviously understaffed and the food was not supplied... We couldn't find seats, so the family of four ended up eating at two tables. There is a basketball court on the 5th floor. My son liked it very much and played several times. My daughter ran around and played in the play area. Generally acceptable. I think the experience will be better if I come back next time during a non-holiday holiday. Thanks to Alice, the manager on the 9th floor, who was enthusiastic and chatty. She also gave us two bottles of water when we checked out.

Binhai Airport and Airport Economic Zone
Tianjin Very nice hotel near the airport. Inconvenient if you were to travel to city areas as the metro is a distance from hotel. Pick up and drop off service was available from airport only. As we only stay for 1 night before leaving the country the hotel was at our convenience. We called the hotel on arrival at the airport and the driver arrived to pick us within 5 minutes. Car was able to fit 2 medium luggage and 1 large luggage, if there are more people they also have a mini bus. We arrived at the airport around 12pm, and we were able to check in immediately. Our room was located at level 10, family room was big and spacious. A modernised room, curtains were controlled by switches, screensharing on TV was also available. Something I didn’t like was that the light switches were connected, we could not choose to switch off a certain stretch of lights. There was only a choice of dim lights and bright lights. Laundry and Gym room was on level 11. There were 2 washing machines and 2 dryers available. Laundry detergent was provided. Security of this hotel could be better as the lifts didn’t require card access to access room floors, which meant that anybody could just walk in to the hotel and go up to the guest room levels. Breakfast was a mixture of western and Chinese style food. Although we were the first to start eating, the food were cold even those on the heaters. Ambience in the dining area and other areas were good. I enjoyed my stay in this hotel despite some negative points.
The Astor Hotel Tianjin

Binjiang Road/Xiao Bai Lou/Five Avenue Scenic Area
Overall nice, historical hotel with, great location to explore Tianjin. However during our stay there were some drawbacks: - The rooms to the rear of the old part of the building are really noisy, even though the windows and doors have been replaced with modern ones. It's not understandable to me why a five star hotel replaces windows and balcony doors with insufficient ones if they decide to do so. - We wanted to use the pool/wellness area, which was closed due to ”technical issues”. No further explanation, compensation etc. was given and this has not been communicated during the booking or elsewhere. - We showed up at 10:30 sharp for breakfast (which was until 10:30 at least) and were sent away since ”there's nothing left”. Also, no compensation was offered except for some cheap fridge magnet from the hotel's museum. Overall, value for money is questionable (1600 RMB for one night). Next time I will choose a hotel of an established international chain, such as Shangri-La.
