My stay at this hotel was far from ideal, though it had a few positives. The location is not too far from the city center, but the surrounding area is quiet and lacks restaurants or cafes. Being next to a temple offers a nice view from some rooms, but it also means an unavoidable 7:00 AM wake-up call from the temple’s alarm for monks.
The biggest issues were the cleanliness and facilities—my room was full of ants, the bathroom drainage was clogged, and there was no safe box. The air conditioning was too strong and couldn’t be adjusted away from the bed, making it uncomfortable. Additionally, no breakfast was offered, not even for an extra charge, so I had to take a tuktuk to the city center every morning.
On the positive side, the room was spacious, well-decorated, and equipped with basic necessities. The price was reasonable, but given the drawbacks, I wouldn’t choose to stay here again.
This was a pretty good hotel for the money. Certainly not the cheapest option in Battambang, but a step above the more budget options and probably worth the extra money.
The facilities were good, with the pool area being particularly nice. I really enjoyed the purified water station to refill your water bottle, which is far too rare in Cambodia. The front desk staff were friendly and spoke pretty good English. My room was really nice, and most importantly, super quiet as it was like a detached bungalow. Bed was comfy and towels/linens were clean and in good shape.
The only negative with this place is that it is quite far removed from the main part of downtown Battambang. While that help with the nearby noise, it makes going out for dinner require a tuk tuk. Also they close and lock the exterior gate rather early, and although there is a staff member sleeping nearby who will begrudgingly wake up when you knock/ring, it is still quite inconvenient if you decide to go downtown for a few drinks.
Still, I would recommend this place if you are looking for a quiet and comfortable place to sleep and are willing to spend a little more than budget accommodation prices.
It's a shame the shower is small, the view in my room is good, but maybe some of the staff have difficulty speaking English and are not easy to understand when it comes to payment, otherwise it's ok if you're just staying for a while.

The hotel is quite appropriate for business travelers. Centrally located with a solid breakfast to enjoy. It’s also quite quiet given its location. The higher you go the better the view too.

It’s advertised as being able to ourchase breakfast but you can’t
Wedding shoots going on at the pool for the two days we were there
Rooms were nice, spacious and airy
Very central and close to town
Close to a good pizza place
Lovely hotel consisting of a few 2 floor buildings within wild garden and water features.
Staff were great and helpful.
The food was excellent with a choice of western or Khmer cuisine.
The room was large, welcoming and tastefully furnished with good shower/toilet facilities.
I would definitely return if the opportunity arose
Well I will start by saying we will be back! We are CNDs semi/retired in Phnom Penh. We needed a break feom the hustle and bustle of the big city and tried this resort. We were greeted with the sweetest most helpful young lady, missed her name, that took great care of us. As we walked passed the pool area and restaurant to our lakeside cabin I knew this was what we needed. It's gorgeous, clean, friendly and gardeners are so busy keeping it all clean but ever so discreetly. It was perfect! We're so happy we've found our escape place! Room 4 lakeside is so private and a deck right at the edge of the pond that has blooming lilies on it. Like a scene from a romantic movie. Thank you reception staff and restaurant staff for a beautiful get-away. We couldn't have asked for more. Oh and the food!! Top notch.
The hotel is a bit out of the way, but it offers everything you need. Clean, well-equipped rooms, a cozy, inviting atmosphere around the pool and a good restaurant for breakfast and dinner.
We can definitely recommend the hotel!

MMichael ZargarovThe Ramchang Guest House... is a bit of a way outside the ”city.” Battambang feels like a large, overgrown village. The hotel itself reminded me of country guest houses in Mexico.
The hotel is in the midst of rice-paddies. Easy to get to the town by TukTuk.
The room was not large, but was comfortable. AC worked well. Comfortable beds, with good linens.
The dining room serves delicious and affordable meals.
They have a good laundry service. The sweet lady even ironed my clothes. (I haven't had an ironed shirt in over 20 years!)
There is a swimming pool in the lush, tropical garden. Frangipani flowers under foot scented our meanders through the garden.
Over-all a great place. Note: Very little English spoken.
FFatima SiddiquiSeng Hout Hotel has expanded considerably and now has 2 buildings. Safety is slightly compromised as there is now an outdoor walkway along the windows of many rooms, with some of these windows unable to fully close/ lock - though there was no actual safety incident during our stay. Amenities and cleanliness are minimal but functional. Staff struggle somewhat with simple requests such as top up of toilet paper or additional blankets (the blanket is smaller than the bed so can be challenging to share in double beds - but additional is not available). Nonetheless, functional and comfortable stay for the price.
GGuest UserGreat homestay if you want to experience the life of local Khmer people. Located near the bat cave and surrounded with rice fields, perfect way to disconnect from busy city life and indulge in local culture. The dinner and breakfast are delicious. Saro speaks English very well, he can introduce you to local culture and touristic spots. Don’t expect a five star hotel but rather an assembly of humble huts. Saro and his family provide everything needed to make sure we spend a comfortable stay. Beautiful sunset and sunrise over the rice fields.
GGuest UserThe room is beautiful but I don't love the tiles. I wish they installed a ceiling fan at the balcony.
Bathroom tiles are a bit tired. I don't like how they put the shower gel etc in a bottle.
I wish they provided slippers as the room floor is fully tiled, not wooden flooring. The room also doesn't have phone, so for sny request, you have to go down.
The staff were great, spoke good English and they recommended a great tuktuk driver and booked our bus ticket to Siem Reap. The hotel did not charge extra for the services.
陈陈Arrived at Battambang at 7 o'clock in the evening, and walked directly to the hotel after enjoying the white rose dinner. The entrance passage of the hotel can be described as ”quite special”. The hanging decorative strips have a feeling of American horror story. Step into the front desk, the cool color of fluorescent light. The smile of the waiter and the waiter had a feeling of ”Human Meat Barbecued Pork Buns”, and I hurried into the room. The area of the room was really big. There was a bed in the middle of the empty room. The room with windows on all sides made people can’t help but check everything. The windows, even the bottom of the bed...then we two hit it off and decided to change the hotel directly! ! ! It is recommended that tourists who are willing to spend this little money choose other hotels...
GGuest UserThe hotel is located right next to several bus transfer stations. It is very convenient to travel to and from other parts of Cambodia. The hotel is cheap but the relative facilities and facilities are not very demanding. There are very few residents in Battambang at night, so the location of the hotel is a bit remote when walking. Personal access is required. Note that it’s totally fine during the day, and it’s fine for business trips.
