Located just by the main railway terminal of the city, but this coin has a reverse side too, - if you get a room with windows over the busy Racoczi street. The traffic noise is something you should and can adopt to, but the loud sirenas of the ambulances and emergency services all night long can be something close to disaster.
Rooms are spacious, especially if you take one option over the basis, room amenities quite satisfactory.
The are some good points at the breakfast, but generally the price-per-quality ratio could be better.
Cost-effectiveness. The best. Breakfast. It was a meal, but it wasn't shabby. There was no major inconvenience in transportation during my 3-night stay.
We stayed for 4 nights and although the location is excellent for transport, the area had a few homeless and dodgy people around. The location is just a few minutes walk from Keleti train station, has a Metro station for lines M2 and M4, and also has numerous bus routes and also trams 24 and 24A.
We used Bolt/Uber to and from the airport which was around 10,000 HUF.
The hotel is a typical city hotel similar to Premier Inn. The rooms were adequate if a little small. The bedscwe found uncomfortable as they were very soft and springy. Room cleaning was a bit poor with just towels being changed and we had to call to get some supplies replenished. Breakfast was quite good with a decent variety. We found the staff slow to top up items, and also clearing tables was poor. Plenty of tables available but still dirty.
Free bottles of water on arrival and they also had iced water in the reception area daily which was appreciated in the extremely hot weather.
V good for the price. V good heating / air conditioning system. If i had complaints it would be the bathrooms — they could use some more urinals for the second floor bathrooms and the showers could be a little cleaner. The location was great, right in the middle kf the jewish quarter. Overall great stay
This hotel in Budapest is reasonably priced and in a decent location, about 30 minutes walk from central tourist attractions such as the Parliament and the Central Market. However, it is worth noting that the rooms have no curtains and our floor was on the second floor, which lacked privacy and had strong sunlight in the morning. Also, the hotel has no luggage storage which is inconvenient, and no early check-in option. However, the room is spacious and overall still quite good, suitable for travelers with limited budget. Hopefully privacy and service issues will be improved in the future.
Located at the prime location, everything is perfect..Atms,cafes,eateries are surrounding..Metro station is just around the corner.Walkable to Vaci Street/Central Hall Market.Staff are helpful and welcoming..I booked a twin single room and did not expect i get extra bed for my daughter. We were 2 adult and 1 child and i really appreciate that.Stayed for 4 days 3 nights and the sound from the street never bother us at all.I enjoyed looking out the balcony. The buffet breakfast are the same menu everyday but i love the variety and my hot cappucino, milk and juices..I would recommend this hotel to other people and i would stay here again when i come to Budapest..
Love,
From Malaysia..
Well, the picture that I uploaded will explain you everything.
If you are thirsty for a beautiful night view, this boat hotel will make you moistened.
Location was good and staffs were so kind but my room was a bit small and there’s slight noise due to windy but it was not a big issue for me.
Try to stay on the boat in Budapest, I really enjoyed the night view. So good, i mean so so good.
You’ve been sleeping in the buildings so far go and sleep in this boat hotel and have fun!
The location is good it is right next to the metro and it doesn't take long to walk into the main parts of the Jewish quarter. They were great in waiting in reception for my arrival late at night. The cleanliness isn't great, they will change the towels if you want them too but the room was not cleaned other than the bed been made. There were some dead bugs in the room for days without being cleaned during my time there. The room I was in was right next to a communal kitchenette which was clearly used to make breakfast, which was done very loudly from about 7am, with not much consideration for those sleeping.

Amazing
GGuest UserVery friendly and helpful staff. They offered us a complimentary upgrade. Great facilities at the hotel, including billiard and gym room for free. The room was spacious, the bathroom was gigantic. The toiletries they offered are from penhaligons. The breakfast was fantastic with a great variety of choices. A very exceptional experience. Will definitely come back.
AAnonymous UserCarlton Hotel Buda Castle - A Location Lover's Dream!
My recent stay at the Carlton Hotel Buda Castle in Budapest was largely defined by its absolutely awesome location. For anyone looking to immerse themselves in the historical heart of the city, this hotel is a fantastic choice.
Being just minutes away from both the majestic Buda Castle and the picturesque Fisherman’s Bastion was a huge plus. I particularly appreciated the convenience for early risers – those who wish to view the stunning sunrise and enjoy the area before the crowds arrive (potentially with free entrance before official opening hours) will find this hotel incredibly convenient, as it's just a short stroll away.
Furthermore, the hotel's location also allows for a pleasant walk to the viewing area across the river from the Parliament building. Seeing the illuminated Parliament at night from the opposite bank was a memorable experience, and it was easily accessible on foot from the hotel.
The room itself was cozy and comfortable, providing a welcome retreat after a day of exploring. The bed was comfortable, and the room had everything I needed for a pleasant stay.
However, there was one notable downside: the soundproofing could be improved. I occasionally heard noise from neighboring rooms and the hallway, which sometimes disrupted the otherwise peaceful atmosphere.
Overall:
Despite the minor issue with soundproofing, I would still highly recommend the Carlton Hotel Buda Castle, especially for travelers who prioritize location above all else. Its proximity to key attractions like Buda Castle and Fisherman’s Bastion, along with the easy access to sunrise views and the Parliament panorama, makes it a truly convenient base for exploring the best of Buda. If you're a light sleeper, bringing earplugs might be a good idea, but the unbeatable location truly makes this hotel a strong contender for your Budapest stay.
RRoxyThe park plaza was a last minute choice for us as we had originally booked into an extremely horrifying Airbnb but we were so lucky to book their last room! It’s in such a prime location with a beautiful view of the parliament building and tram / metro stops within a 5 min walk.
The staff were really accommodating and informative and always smiling which is so lovely to see in the morning.
The only issue we experienced was the malfunctioning AC but they tried their best to resolve it and even offered a room change and complimentary drinks to show their care.
Overall, it was a great stay and I will definitely look to them next time k go to Budapest. Thank you!
GGuest UserStaying at this elegant 4-star hotel was beyond expectation! The location is excellent, just a 10-minute walk to the Danube River, with a panoramic view of the Chain Bridge and the Parliament Building at night. The neo-Renaissance building combines modern facilities with spacious and quiet rooms, some of which have balconies with river views. The breakfast is rich, offering Hungarian specialties such as bacon and freshly baked pastries. The front desk staff speaks fluent English and assisted in booking special hot spring tickets. Although the swimming pool is a bit small, the noble rot wine in the rooftop bar is perfect with the panoramic view of the city, and it is a cost-effective choice!
MMagic71A great base to visit Budapest from, great rooms that are clean and comfortable. The hotel has a gym and a large jacuzzi and a sauna. The jacuzzi needs a clean I will say as it’s very opaque and the top felt a bit slimy which put me off using it which is a shame. The breakfast hot options were not great for me being veggie and were cold. The potatoes were not cooked. The cold options were great, good choice of cereal, cheese, bread and rolls. Lots of very nice pastries and yoghurt. There were juices and hot drinks. I had a lunch in the restaurant and that was very nice. I had baked Camembert salad. Also lovely lady in bar/restaurant gave me a pint of milk for room for me to make tea with. No milk in mini fridge but coffee and tea supplied. The room has everything you need and more. Big showers and separate w/c.
Beds are comfortable with plenty of pillows and rooms have excellent blackout curtains. My gripe was how hot the rooms were but that was a me problem and was fine with window open. There is public transportation just outside the hotel and a shopping complex a 5 min walk away. The hotel offers a 24 hour airport shuttle which is brilliant! Lastly I have to mention the staff….. they are what makes this a stand out hotel for me, they were all so very good, friendly and helpful, kind , patient and NICE!!! As a solo female traveler this made me feel safe and happy and comfortable which is very nice. I would 100% recommend this hotel.
CChun Chuen DennisThe hotel was located at some distance away from the city centre. Nevertheless, travelling to the city centre was quite convenient as we could take the tram for one stop and then the metro for four to five stops. The room was clean and was quite spacious.
GGuest UserI stayed here for 5 days. First of all, the breakfast is very rich. The cleaning of the room is very serious and warm. Secondly, the service of the front desk is very warm. The location of the hotel is also very convenient. If I have another chance, I will choose Pullman again. I will recommend Pullman to my family and friends.
