First time to Vasa, chose a good hotel, located on the lake, breakfast restaurant has a good view of sightseeing. There is also a children's paradise outside, sitting by the lake for coffee in the summer, chatting, a wonderful time.

An older two part hotel (new and original on the other side of the street) in city center of Vaasa. Easy access to the market square, nice for the summer months... Breakfast offered on the original location on the other side of the street, don't worry there is a underground access to there... Bicycled can be borrowed from the lobby at no cost but there is limited number of those. Swimming pool and a sauna on the top floor, nice.

Cycling friendly. Helpful receptionist that shared her local cycling knowledge and helped me to put my bike in the convenient storage room. Good food in the restaurant and a nice sauna. However, breakfast is let down by the lack of real milk. There are plenty of nuts, muesli, seeds, nice breads, and fruit, but if you are a lactophile you leave breakfast with an unsatisfied feeling. Also, bed is a bit soft which can make breathing a bit difficult if you tend towards the apneaic.

Our room was tidy and clean. The room was very small, and no space to put things neither in the room or in the bathroom. Not very practical for travellers. The marketing information about the room mentioned 'air condition' but there was no air condition of the room (to adjust the temperature; 'ilmastointi' in finnish), there was only a regular ventilation system ('koneellinen ilmanvaihto' in finnish). Location of the hotel is not very practical for a walk and see the town. Very limited space for car parking.
