What I Did Right on My Trip to Xi'an|||1. Accommodation I recommend staying near the Bell Tower and Drum Tower, or near the Muslim Quarter. We stayed in the Muslim Quarter, and the driver told us that cars are not allowed in the Muslim Quarter. We stayed for three days, and our daily transportation was a small electric car, which can seat four people. It costs CNY 10 to get from the middle of the street to the Bell Tower. This location is convenient for getting around, and it's easy to return things the next day after getting your makeup done. 2. Makeup The four of us all got our makeup done at Yizhou Shopping Mall, but you don't have to go to the same store. Each store has its own popular styles, so you can check them out online in advance and choose according to your preferences. The popular styles at each store are easier for them to do and less likely to go wrong. 3. Itinerary I recommend my itinerary if you want to get your makeup done. Day 1 (travel light and wear comfortable shoes) After lunch at 11:00, find a place to go up the city wall and take some photos before getting your makeup done, and have some fun. After getting your makeup done, you'll feel heavy and it will be inconvenient to walk for a long time. Go to get your makeup done at around 13:30. We went to Yizhou Shopping Mall, which is close to the city wall and the Bell Tower. After getting your makeup done, you can go to the city wall to take photos (Yongning Gate). At 17:00, get off at Yongning Gate, where there is a bus stop. The double-decker bus is a shuttle bus between the Bell Tower and the Great Tang All Day Mall, and costs CNY 10 per person for a round trip. Arrive at the Great Tang All Day Mall at around 18:00, and go shopping and watch performances. We went to the Chang'an Twelve Hours, which is generally recommended. You can go there if you want to take photos. Before getting off the bus, ask the driver how often the bus runs at night, and take the bus back to the Bell Tower in time to take photos of the Bell Tower at night. Day 2 When you return your clothes to Yizhou Shopping Mall in the morning, you can go to the Bell Tower to take photos of the popular transition. Then take the shuttle bus next to the Bell Tower to see the Terracotta Warriors. The journey takes about an hour, and costs more than CNY 30 per person, including a tour guide. I think the service is good and the tour guide is very professional. There is only a sales session for Hetian jade at the end, which you can skip. Finally, you can try more food and drinks. Overall, I think the food is quite good.
