Emperor Qinshihuang's Mausoleum Site Museum Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Jun)
Weekend in a different city: Xi'an Edition|Two-day essence tour
Interesting souls never waste their rest days. Utilize the weekend time, you can also explore Xi'an. Leave work on Friday, start the city essence walk early on Saturday, return on Sunday night, here comes the two-day one-night route!
·
📆D1: Shaanxi History Museum→Big Wild Goose Pagoda area→Xi'an City Wall sunset→Tang Dynasty Ever-bright City
📆D2: Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor Museum (Terracotta Army)→Sajinqiao
·
🚩Shaanxi History Museum: Book 3 days in advance (7 days in advance for statutory holidays), tickets are released at 10, 11, 18, 19 o'clock every day, there are online ticket grabbing strategies to refer to, 🐮will➕a lot of💰, not worth it, keep grabbing! The museum opens at 8:30 (9 o'clock in winter), and it takes about a morning to visit.
·
🚩Big Wild Goose Pagoda: Located in the Da Ci'en Temple, the ticket is 40 yuan per person. If you are not particularly interested in Da Ci'en Temple, you actually don't need to go in. The better places to shoot the Big Wild Goose Pagoda are in the square, Da Ci'en Temple Ruins Park (free), and Joy City (Xicha entrance, fourth floor rooftop). In addition, the music fountain in the north square of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda is worth seeing. There are four shows every day at 12, 16, 19, 21 o'clock, each show is about 10 minutes, try to go at night.
·
🚩Xi'an City Wall: The ticket is 54 yuan per person. It is suitable to go at sunset. It is recommended to go up from Yongning Gate. The scenery is great. At sunset, you can also wait for the bell tower and the street lights to turn on at the place where you can see the bell tower!
·
🚩Tang Dynasty Ever-bright City: Free🆓, it is the entire pedestrian street from the Tang City Wall Ruins to the entrance of Da Ci'en Temple. There are many cultural facilities along the way, especially lively. There are also many interactive performances starting at 7 o'clock in the evening (including the previously popular Weebles).
·
🚩Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor Museum (Terracotta Army): The ticket is 120 yuan per person. The Emperor's Mausoleum Museum is divided into two sections, the Terracotta Army and Lishan Garden. Just going to the Terracotta Army is enough. You can choose the tourist special bus, carpooling, subway➕taxi. Pay attention to the round-trip transportation, which takes a total of 2.5-3 hours, so visiting the Terracotta Army takes most of the day.
·
🚩Sajinqiao Food Street: After returning to the city, you can go to Sajinqiao for a visit. Although it is mostly tourists, it is still more original than Huimin Street. The small shops inside are mainly noodle dishes, and there are also many Xi'an specialty restaurants around. The gourd chicken is quite delicious!
·
🏨Where to stay: You can choose a location between the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the History Museum, so you can walk to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the Museum, and the transportation is convenient.
🚇Transportation: Mainly subway➕bus.

The World Famous Terracotta Museum🇨🇳
#timetotravel
when planning a trip in China, this must be included in your itinerary. I mean this is definitely just like the greatwall of China. People all over the world know about these teraccotta statues which for me are absolutely fascinating and they just leave me speechless everytime I visit this place. I mean, just imagine the amount of hard work and effort making them? Just amazing. I was fortunate enough to visit this place thrice and everytime I go there there's that feeling of excitement, it never goes away. This is an imprtant treasure in Chinese Culture that must be shared to the people who are visiting China.
How to get here: We went there by ourselves without a tour package so here it is - we took metro line 1 to Fangzhicheng Station then line 9 to Huaqing Pool station. Once you get ther hop on to lintong bus 602 to the terracotta museum. It will take you about 2 or 2 and half hours depending on where your starting point is. Enjoy your visit!

China's Terracotta Warriors 🏯🗡️🇨🇳
📍 Address: Lintong District, Xi'an, Shaanxi Province, China. Located about 30 kilometers east of the city center.
🌟 Highlights: The Terracotta Warriors are an impressive sight to behold, with thousands of life-sized statues standing guard in the pits. While the site is not as mind-blowing as some may expect, it is still a remarkable feat of ancient craftsmanship and a must-see for history buffs. Take a guided tour to learn more about the history and significance of these fascinating figures.
👎🏻 Rating: While the Terracotta Warriors are certainly worth a visit, it's important to manage your expectations. Some may find the experience underwhelming, as the figures are somewhat spread out and may not be as awe-inspiring as they appear in pictures.
🤔 Opinion: Visiting the Terracotta Warriors is like seeing soccer players on a field - impressive in their own right, but not necessarily a mind-blowing experience. While I enjoyed my visit, I found myself relying on zoom lenses to capture the intricate details of the statues. That being said, the site is still a remarkable feat of ancient craftsmanship and a fascinating glimpse into China's rich history.
👉🏻 Motivation: If you're a history buff or simply curious about ancient Chinese culture, a visit to the Terracotta Warriors is still a must-do. Just remember to manage your expectations and approach the site with an open mind. And who knows, you may just discover a newfound appreciation for these remarkable figures. 🏯🗡️🇨🇳

The Best Preseved City wall in China
#china #xiancitywall #urbanexplorer
Xi’an in Shaanxi province is well known for the famous burial site of the first emperor of China, but you mustn’t miss it’s other treasures whilst staying there.
The fortifications of the ancient city are some of the largest, oldest and best preserved in all of China. Dating back to the Ming and Qing dynasties the wall encased an area of around 14 square kilometres - so get ready for some serious exercise!
We hired bicycles on the top of the wall and spent the evening exploring the various structures atop it as well as the glittering views of the city.
Once coming down, make sure to take the quick walk to the Drum tower (third photo) for another beautiful view.
HIDDEN GEMS - XI’AN
I’ve been here during December 2019, tryna catch the winter season and snowfall. Unlucky, i didn’t manage to stay until the first snowfall as I was there too early. Anyway, the trip somehow remains unforgettable. It’s a 2 weeks vacation. I supposed everything ws great. As a muslim, getting halal foods is one of the most crucial element while travelling. Surprisingly, it’s easy to manage as Xi’an kinda have a big number if muslim population.
Weather were great, gorgeous scenery, lotsa history place to visit, safe to walk around. Except for the dry air and pollution forcing us to wear face mask all the time.
However, If I am given another chance to return. I will.#mytripvlog #2023travelwish #Staycation

Xi'an Bell Tower Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Jun)
Geographical Center of Ancient China! 🇨🇳
#timetotravel
I had the opporunity to see Xian's Bell tower thrice and I always get to see it since I was also touring family and friends around. This bell tower is more beautiful at night as it lights up but it is beautiful anyway no matter what time of the day it is. It is near all the other tourist attractions in Xian so you can definitely drop by here and admire its beauty. You can go inside as well if that is what you prefer for only 35 rmb. Enjoy!

Xian art gallery
Location: Xian Zhonglou Art Gallery, Xian, Shaanxi, China
Entrance fee: 50¥
Date: June 22, 2022
This is a nice art gallery in the center of Xian. It’s quite small but there are different parts, where we can take photos, walk around and enjoy the view.
This is an awesome place to take pictures for social media. There are mirrors, colorful lights and many interesting things which will catch your attention. My fav part was the universe: planets and the moon.

Bell Tower of Xi'an
Location: Bell Tower, the center of Xi'an. Also known as Zhong Lou.
Getting there: Take line 2 subway to Zhong Lou station.
This landmark is in the very center of Xi'an. It is located between the north and south gate of the city wall. A short walk from Muslim street, this is a large roundabout area where you can admire this traditional building. You can pay 35 RMB to get inside and get a fine view of Xi'an from the top.
I enjoy going to the City Wall and go to Drum Tower (both nearby) to photograph Bell Tower.
There are shopping malls nearby to enjoy food and drink too.

Bell & Drum Towers of Xi’an 🔔 🥁
Rainy evening in downtown Xi'an 🌧🌧🌧
Bell Tower located in the center of Xi'an, at the intersection of the four streets of the east, west, south and north. It is the largest and most preserved one amongst the many bell towers left over from ancient China.
The Drum Tower is closeby along the northwest of the Bell Tower. Both of them are called the “sister buildings” or “morning bell and dark drum”.
One could walk along the streets of Muslim Quarters nearby tasting a number of delicious Shaanxi snacks and also checkout the Great Mosque, one of the oldest, largest and best-preserved Islamic mosques in China.

Grand Tang Dynasty Ever-bright City Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Jun)
I stayed in Xi'an for 4 days, and here's my heartfelt advice
After staying in Xi'an for 4 days and testing it out myself, I strongly advise everyone to plan ahead before you go, because Xi'an will really punish anyone who doesn't! 🌟
Whether you want to travel freely or join a reliable tour group, you should learn about the prices of hotels and tickets in advance, calculate the travel costs, and then decide whether to join a tour group or not.
-
🟩 Accommodation
📍Near the Bell and Drum Tower: Located in the center of Xi'an, the advantages are close to attractions and the Muslim Street food area, but the disadvantages are high prices, crowded with people and cars, and severe traffic jams during peak periods.
📍Near Yongning Gate: One station away from the Bell and Drum Tower, the price is similar, with the advantage of convenient transportation and a plethora of food options.
📍Near the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda: Close to the Tang Paradise & Great Tang All Day Mall, convenient for night views, and easy access to subways and taxis.
📍Near the high-speed rail station/Xi'an station: Convenient transportation to attractions.
🗺️Four-day classic itinerary:
1⃣Arrive in Xi'an - Check into the hotel
After a tiring journey, rest up beautifully upon arrival, and go for a leisurely stroll in the evening~
-
2⃣Terracotta Army - Huaqing Palace - Great Tang All Day Mall - The Song of Everlasting Sorrow
The Terracotta Army has a tour leader to explain, which makes the experience different! There are many performances at the Great Tang All Day Mall in the evening, which is very lively, so don't miss out.
-
3⃣City Wall - Giant Wild Goose Pagoda - Bell and Drum Tower - Muslim Street
You can rent a bike on the City Wall to enjoy the scenery, otherwise walking is really too tiring. In the evening, the Bell and Drum Tower lights up beautifully, so don't miss it if you want to take photos in Hanfu. Muslim Street has many snacks~
-
4⃣Mount Hua - Return trip
Mount Hua is a bit steep, but the scenery is super beautiful. Remember to wear sports shoes. If you're lucky, you might see a sea of clouds. There's a section with a cable car, and another section you have to walk up yourself~
⚠️Xi'an travel tips to avoid pitfalls
🌀Near the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda, you often see people dressed in strange costumes who want to take photos with you, but they actually charge a fee.
🌀Don't buy Xi'an specialties near major attractions, as they are expensive. It's recommended to go to local supermarkets, which are economical and affordable.
🌀The Great Tang All Day Mall has a high photo success rate at night, so don't go during the day when it's very commercial.
🌀Most attractions in Xi'an require tickets, so it's very important to remember to bring your student ID if you have one!
🌀The internet-famous snack 'Mao Bi Su' is expensive and personally, I don't think it tastes good, so definitely don't buy it.
🌀Muslim Street is heavily commercialized, and most of the visitors who go there to check in are from out of town. Be sure to take good care of your personal belongings.
🔥If it's your first time in Xi'an and you don't want to plan and can't book a hotel, you can join a local pure play group, which will save you a lot of hassle, especially when watching 'The Song of Everlasting Sorrow' performance at night. The last show ends after eleven, and there's no subway, so it's inconvenient to return to the city center. But be cautious when joining a tour group to avoid falling into the trap of low-priced tours❗ If needed, I can make recommendations for you~
Come to Xi'an for a trip like this~ I was asked crazy by posting on social media!
I finally went to the long-cherished Xi'an recently!
I really like this ancient capital with a long history-Chang'an
If you are also preparing to come to Xi'an for a trip
Take a look at the 3-day and 2-night strategy I have organized
Let you play enough, take enough photos, and blow up your social media in Xi'an!

The Tang Dynasty Everbright City worth visiting
The Tang Dynasty Everbright City in Xi'an has gained fame in recent years, and I was fortunate to come here for a visit, feeling that it lives up to its reputation. Although it is a man-made cultural attraction, it is built next to the famous Big Wild Goose Pagoda, which gives a sense of borrowing the scenery to create a mood. Coupled with the grand and high-quality central axis sculpture group, and the original cultural venues on both sides of the street, such as Shaanxi Grand Theater, Shaanxi Culture Museum, Xi'an Art Museum, and Xuanzang Bronze Statue Square, it forms a cultural attraction with Xi'an characteristics. Plus, many beautiful women dressed in Tang and Han costumes take photos at the scenic spots, as if Yang Guifei is everywhere, really forming a wonderful scene of the Tang Dynasty Everbright City. The scenic area is free to visit, and you can also appreciate the charm of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, so it is a scenic spot worth visiting for everyone who comes to Xi'an. If you are interested, you can also take some good photos...

Huaqing Pool Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Jun)
Huaqing Palace
Location: Huaqing Palace, Xian, Shaanxi, China
Entrance fee: 120¥ + 358¥ performance
Date: July 13, 2022
Huaqing Palace or Huaqing Pool is located about 35 kilometers east of the city of Xi'an, at the foot of Li Mountain. Hua means brilliant, Chinese or flowery; qing means pure or clear. It is a famous imperial bathing pool and one of China's Hundred Famous Gardens.
In Tang Dynasty, emperors would come to Huaqing Palace with their concubines. The Emperor Xuanzong used to spend his wintertimes at Huaqing Palace in the company of his favorite concubine Yang.
“Song of the everlasting sorrow” musical performance is a love story of Concubine Yang Guifei and emperor Xuanzong (Tang Dynasty).
She is known as one of the Four Beauties of ancient China.
Even though she was the wife of the emperor’s son, the emperor was attracted with her beauty, and eventually, he made her his imperial consort. Yang enjoyed a luxurious life after becoming the consort of Emperor Xuanzong.
However, she soon became the victim of courtly intrigue, which ultimately led to her death. But the legendary story of her romance with the Emperor would last forever.
She was so beautiful that we can feel it even just looking at her statue😍
The performance was so realistic, that I felt their love and sorrow. I had a feeling like they’re shooting an ancient movie and I’m part of it. It was so incredible and it’s worth watching it. I really liked it. If you go to Terra-cotta on the way back you need to see this fascinating place and the performance.

On your way back from Terra-cotta
Address - Huaqing pool, Lintong, Xi’an
Avg. Price per Person - 120 (entrance ticket) + 358 (performance ticket)
If you plan a trip to Terra-cotta army, then don’t skip this place on your way back. This a tranquil place where you can walk and enjoy the environment. If you are into history then you will witness the tragic story of a beautiful lady Yang Guifei. You will see the bathhouse where she used to take a bath and of course her statue. Don’t skip the performance at the end of the day. It might seem pricey but definitely worth it! The whole romance of the Emperor Xuanzong and Yang Guifei and the tragic end is presented in a stunning way.
Huaqing Palace
Beautiful gardens, sculptures and hot springs. some very cultural and romantic stories behind the palace to learn. Beautiful on a warm day to see the gardens and pomegranate trees. option to walk up into the mountains as well.
