Xi'an, Big Wild Goose Pagoda.

The Big Wild Goose Pagoda is located in the Daci'en Temple in the Jinchangfang of Tang Chang'an City (now in the south of Xi'an, Shaanxi Province), also known as the "Daci'en Temple Pagoda". In the third year of Yonghui of the Tang Dynasty (652), Xuanzang presided over the construction of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda to preserve the Buddhist scriptures and Buddha statues brought back to Chang'an from Tianzhu via the Silk Road. It was initially five stories high, and was later added to nine stories. The number of floors and height were changed several times later, and finally fixed to the seven-story pagoda body seen, with a total height of 64.517 meters and a bottom edge length of 25.5 meters. The Big Wild Goose Pagoda is a square tower with brick and wood structure, composed of tower base, tower body and tower brake. The total height of the tower is 64.7 meters, the height of the tower base is 4.2 meters, the length from north to south is about 48.7 meters, and the length from east to west is about 45.7 meters; the bottom edge length of the tower body is 25.5 meters, which is conical; the height of the tower brake is 4.87 meters. There are 9 rooms on the 1st and 2nd floors, 7 rooms on the 3rd and 4th floors, and 5 rooms on the 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th floors, and there are Juan doors on all four sides of each floor.
