Black Myth: Wukong Filming Location - Shuilu'an Travelogue

Shuilu'an in Lantian, a hidden Buddhist art treasure at the foot of the Qinling Mountains, is famous for its exquisite painted clay sculptures and is known as the "Second Dunhuang in China". Location: About 50 km from downtown Xi'an, navigate to Lantian Shuilu'an, park on the side of the road about 400 m away for free, and walk in. The parking lot inside charges CNY 5, and it is crowded with people and cars, making it difficult to get out. Long history: Originally part of the Sui Dynasty Wuzhen Temple, it was later renovated and expanded by Zhu Huaibian, the King of Qin in the Ming Dynasty, forming the scale of today. The Zhusheng Shuilu Hall in the temple is the essence of it. The walls and beams of the hall are filled with more than 3,700 painted clay sculptures. Inside are lifelike Buddha statues, Bodhisattvas, Arhats, as well as dynamic flying sky and mythical beasts. These sculptures not only reach a high level of art, but also carry profound religious significance and historical information in culture. Natural scenery: There are beautiful views of Wangshun Mountain and the surrounding Qinghe River. These natural elements complement the ancient buildings of Shuilu'an, forming a harmonious and peaceful picture.
