Mudra, a psychedelic wonderland of a restaurant in Ubud

It is definitely accurate to describe Mudra as a psychedelic wonderland, disguised as a restaurant/cafe. Its name is taken from the Sanskrit word referring to symbolic hand formations used in Buddhist or Hindu ceremonies, for prayers and meditations. This place puts this word into play with the multitudinous paintings of mudras on its walls, whether as eye-candies and/or substantial matters to be studied by those who are inclined. Those conversating at the tables would find it hard to pull their attention away from being drawn in by the many psychedelic-inspired works on the walls, as parts of short-term art exhibitions, or as permanent mind food, served in their wonderful, glowing, trippy splendor. Marigolds decorate the stairs to the entrance, deceivingly minimal, leading to the second floor, a wide open indoor space, with a stage for performers and an exclusive-looking chill out room filled with comfy, cushion-filled floor seating named "the Cobra Room". Indeed, the word 'restaurant' would be an understatement for this place, a home for Ubud's artistic community, with a tasty array of eventful nights to be enjoyed. Located on the well-trodden and lively Jl. Gotama walking street, it is a gem for tourists and revellers to check out.
