'One island, one hotel' - The Suzhou Four Seasons Hotel opens! Designed by Singapore's Avalon Collective, the Suzhou Four Seasons Hotel celebrated its grand opening on December 12, 2023. This is the second Four Seasons hotel in China to focus on vacationing after a 13-year hiatus, and it will be one of only two resort-style Four Seasons in China for at least the next five years. The hotel is situated on an independent island above the picturesque Jinji Lake in Suzhou, boasting a garden landscape that makes guests linger and forget to return. From the moment guests are invited to step onto the island, the enchanting natural environment leads them on an immersive journey. From the arrival area to the vibrant social spaces, and finally to the luxurious living spaces. Inspired by the traditional Chinese garden landscaping, the Suzhou Four Seasons Hotel perfectly embodies Suzhou culture through Chinese architectural lines as design elements. The hotel interprets the rich cultural heritage and the elegant essence of the gardens with the theme of 'a view at every step', where each step reveals a new scene, and every scene is interconnected. As guests enter a double-height open space, they can fully appreciate the magnificent views of Jinji Lake and the city. This includes a central resting area, and bars and flower studios separated by screens on both sides, providing guests with a variety of interesting experiences from day to night, from learning to relaxation. The flower studio on the right side of the lobby can be used for Zen activities such as tea ceremonies and flower arranging, enhancing the cultural atmosphere of the lobby lounge during the day. The bar and private spaces on the left, with their floor-to-ceiling glass curtain walls, offer an unobstructed view of Jinji Lake's beauty throughout the day. As night falls, the rotating Suzhou-style screens close, creating a private atmosphere that helps guests fully relax and enjoy moments of tranquility. And on the oversized terrace, guests can enjoy the surrounding landscape of the hotel.
