Suzhou Yangcheng Lake Riverside: Taiping Ancient Town

Next to Taiping Zen Temple is Taiping Ancient Town, historically known as Dixi, also called Taiping Bridge Town, named after the stone bridge in the town—Taiping Bridge. The ancient town has a long history, with numerous historical sites and cultural relics within its borders. It was also an important commercial hub during the Ming and Qing dynasties.
