There's now another compelling reason to visit Suzhou, and as a hotel enthusiast, how could you miss the newly opened Four Seasons Hotel at the end of 2023! A true one-island-one-hotel, the Suzhou Four Seasons exclusively occupies the entire island on the shore of Jinji Lake, offering superb privacy and a perfect retreat atmosphere. It has been over 3 years since our beloved metropolis said goodbye to the Four Seasons brand, and although a new project has been officially announced, it seems that we'll have to rely on the sincerity of a hotel's breakfast to fill the gap, with caviar, Wagyu beef, lobster, salmon, and Spanish ham all being used to create various delicacies.☕ The afternoon tea at the Long Lounge is also impressive, but it can get a bit noisy on weekends. As for the new hotel's attention to service details, there's clearly some room for improvement. The indoor modern Chinese-style pool with its starry underwater ambiance sparkles beneath the ripples, and lifting your eyes reveals the stunning night view of Suzhou city.⛰️ The dishes are exquisite, with both savory and sweet flavors just right~ 🤜 Suzhou-style cherry pork is rich but not greasy 🤜 Hazelnut duck liver pâté served with Shanghai scallion pancakes 🤜 Pomelo-flavored spicy shrimp 🤜 Crispy-skinned golden chicken 🤜 Pickled vegetable and yellow croaker noodles 🤜 The accompanying small bowls for the dry-fried silk are all served hot, which is really quite meticulous The average cost per person is around 800, and for private rooms, it's 1000+ per person, a very 👍🏻 place
