Environment: The century-old Republic of China girls' school, Lize Girls' School, has been renovated and transformed into Huajiantang. The design retains the original space and appearance of the girls' school, extracting the characteristics of the Jiangnan water town. In addition to guest rooms, the classrooms, library, playground, and other facilities of Lize Girls' School have been restored, allowing visitors to experience the charm of a Republic of China-era campus. Pet-friendly: There is an additional cleaning fee of 200 yuan per pet. Huazhu Gold Card members are exempt from the cleaning fee for one pet, and Platinum Card members are exempt for two pets. Our group has two Gold Card members, so my son and daughter’s pets stayed for free, hehe. Upon check-in, pet food and water bowls are provided, along with a Huajiantang pet-friendly bag containing waste bags (there are also many pet waste bins in the courtyard). From my past hotel experiences, this is the first time I felt that the staff genuinely like pets, whether it’s the front desk, the cleaning ladies, or the humorous uncle who drove us. At least from my feedback, this is a truly pet-friendly inn. Tongli Ancient Town Tickets: 80 yuan per person, free entry before 8 am or after 5 pm. We first went to the city to eat crab roe noodles and then visited the Humble Administrator's Garden, so by the time we arrived at the ancient town, it was already after 5 pm (yes, we delayed our visit to save money). Boat ride: 120 yuan per hand-rowed boat (up to 6 people). I fulfilled my little wish of taking a boat ride with my dog! Pingtan: Nanyuan Teahouse offers three different grades of tea at 38 yuan, 48 yuan, and 58 yuan. You order on the first floor and choose your seat on the second floor to wait for your tea. In the afternoon, there are Pingtan performances from 2 pm to 4 pm.
