A night of fish and dragon dance, a dream come true in Wangmantian

On the 16th day of the first lunar month, the last day of the Wangmantian fish lantern festival, the most lively day of the year, I finally made it to the festival after years of planning. After taking several modes of transportation and traveling along winding mountain roads, I said I would never come back again. However, when the fish lantern festival officially began, the big and small fish danced like elves in the dark night, shuttling through the streets and alleys of the village, accompanied by the sound of gongs and drums and fireworks. I followed the 4.5-hour fish lantern parade without feeling tired at all. My feeling can be summed up in one word: amazing! This is the New Year atmosphere we have been looking for, the true charm of intangible cultural heritage. So when I left, I said: Wangmantian, see you next year!
