Xujiahui Park, located at 889 Zhaojiabang Road, Xuhui District, Shanghai, stretches from Hengshan Road in the north to Zhaojiabang Road in the south, Tianping Road in the west, and Wanping Road in the east. It is an open green space. Xujiahui Park was built on the former sites of the Great China Rubber Factory (approx. 3.7 hectares) and the China Record Factory, as well as the surrounding residential area near Wanping Road. Xujiahui Park has preserved the commemorative chimney and the Pathé Records building. Combining modern landscape design with traditional elements, the park features attractions such as the Hope Fountain, the Landscape Footbridge, and the Hengshan Road Garden. Small patches of tulips are already in full bloom in Xujiahui Park, while large swathes of Yulan magnolias are just starting to show signs of blooming. Cherry blossoms and crabapple blossoms will require about half a month more patience. Take a stroll on the tree-lined Landscape Footbridge and enjoy the view. Black swans in the pond attract children to feed them, but be mindful of safety around the pond. Adults must keep a close watch on their children. An oasis in the bustling commercial district, Xujiahui Park is the perfect place for exercise, leisure, flower viewing, and family activities. On a warm spring day, grab your kids and your camera, and head to Xujiahui Park. Perhaps, like me, you witnessed the reconstruction and relocation of this area. Every visit to Xujiahui Park brings back memories of the past, such as the chimney of the Great China Rubber Factory and the nameplate of the former Pathé Records. Tips: 1️⃣ Subway: Take Subway Line 1, 9, or 11 to Xujiahui Station. The park is within walking distance. 2️⃣ Bus: Many bus routes pass through Xujiahui, providing easy access. Shopping: Xujiahui is a famous shopping district in Shanghai, home to Grand Gateway 66, Huijin Department Store, Metro City, and Oriental Shopping Center. 3️⃣ Dining: There are restaurants and cafes offering various cuisines nearby, including the food street on Tianyaoqiao Road and the Dashi Food Court in Metro City. 4️⃣ If you have time, take a walk along Hengshan Road and Fuxing Middle Road to experience the charm of Shanghai's unique culture under the plane trees.
