Charming village in Crete

#mediterranean #greece #crete Loutro is one of the most unique places I visited in Crete. You can only get there by boat or by hiking, which makes it feel really secluded and peaceful. The village is tiny, with whitewashed houses right along the water and a few small hotels, tavernas, and cafés. The bay is calm and perfect for swimming — the water is crystal clear and almost always flat because it’s so sheltered. I spent a good part of the day just swimming and sitting by the water, watching the boats come and go. Because there are no cars and no big crowds, it feels slow and quiet in the best way. Having lunch at one of the tavernas right on the waterfront was one of the highlights — fresh fish, a cold drink, and that incredible view.
