The Victorian houses lined up on the hill and the Golden Gate Bridge in the distance showed the charm of the city at a glance. The first stop on the trip was the Golden Gate Bridge. The orange bridge was much more magnificent in person, and the moment of walking on the bridge and enjoying the view of the ocean and the city together was really special. At the Marin Headlands Observatory, the view of San Francisco and the bridge were overwhelming. After that, I took a boat and visited Alcatraz Island. This place, which used to be a prison, still had a creepy atmosphere, and listening to the audio guide and looking around the solitary confinement and detention center, I felt as if I had entered history. For lunch, I had sourdough clam chowder at Fisherman's Wharf. Sea lions gathered and rested at Pier 39, and the lively atmosphere continued thanks to street performances and souvenir shops. I took pictures of the pretty road with flowers and gardens on Lombard Street, a zigzag road on the hill. In the evening, I finished the day by enjoying pasta and wine at an Italian restaurant in North Beach. On the last day, I walked around Golden Gate Park and slowly looked around the Japanese garden and art museum. It was a space where nature and art coexisted in the city, so I felt like my travel fatigue was gone. San Francisco was a city with the ocean, hills, culture, and gourmet food. It was a place where emotions and leisure coexisted, so I wanted to visit again.
