🎌✨ Osaka Travel Review: 5 Days 4 Nights

This city is irresistibly charming 🍡🍜🐙 Hello~ Today, I’m sharing my first-ever trip to Japan, filled with joy, excitement, and heart-melting cuteness 🩷. The city I chose to visit is… Osaka! A place brimming with delicious food, adorable cafes, stunning views, and incredibly kind people. If you’re wondering, “Should I visit Osaka?” Let me tell you right here: “Go for it! It’s absolutely amazing 🥹.” I spent 5 days and 4 nights there, planning my itinerary at a relaxed pace, and it felt like I was living there 🍃. ⸻ 🌟 Day 1: Flying to Osaka – Falling in love instantly 🛬 Upon landing at Kansai Airport, I bought a train ticket for the Nankai Airport Express to Namba Station, a bustling area in Osaka. As soon as I stepped out of the station, I could feel the city’s vibrant energy 🎇. I stayed at a small hotel near Dotonbori. After unpacking, I couldn’t wait to explore the area. The iconic Glico sign stood out from afar, with many people taking photos. The evening atmosphere was lively, and the aroma of takoyaki from nearby stalls was irresistible. 🍽 The takoyaki from a riverside stall was amazing—soft batter, springy octopus, flavorful sauce, and fluffy bonito flakes. So satisfying! ⸻ 🏯 Day 2: Osaka Castle – Strolling through the park and admiring the city views 🌸 I woke up early today to visit “Osaka Castle,” a must-see landmark! The castle stands tall in the middle of a large park surrounded by trees, offering a peaceful atmosphere. Walking up to the top, I enjoyed a panoramic view of Osaka 🏙. Next to the castle, there’s a traditional Japanese tea shop. I tried green tea and wagashi (Japanese sweets), which were both adorable and delicious 🍵🍡. It was a perfect spot to rest and watch people pass by. In the afternoon, I explored Tenjinbashisuji Shopping Street, which stretches over 2.6 kilometers. There were many charming local shops. I bought a Japanese-style outfit and cute cat-patterned socks 🐱. ⸻ 🎢 Day 3: USJ – A day of dreams and endless fun! 🌈🎠 Ahhh! The day I had been waiting for—Universal Studios Japan (USJ)! I had pre-purchased tickets and downloaded the USJ app to check ride wait times, which was super helpful. I started at the Harry Potter zone. Walking through the entrance felt like stepping into a magical world 🧙♀️. The Hogwarts Castle was massive and stunning, and the 4D ride inside was incredibly fun—I didn’t want to leave! Next, I visited the Super Nintendo World, which is vibrant and colorful. Seeing floating coins and green pipes from Mario made me scream with excitement! The Mario Kart ride with AR glasses was so thrilling I forgot to breathe 😂. I had lunch there, and the menu was adorable, with dishes themed around different characters. I ordered Yoshi-shaped curry rice—it was so cute I almost couldn’t eat it! ⸻ 🍰 Day 4: Shopping, cafes, and strolling – A sweet day of indulgence 🛍️ I slept in a bit today and then headed to Shinsaibashi and Amerikamura, areas filled with shops, cute cafes, and handmade trinkets 🎀. I visited “Pompompurin Café,” a themed café featuring the yellow, pudding-shaped dog character. The café was super cute, and every dish was decorated like the character. The prices were reasonable, and the food was delicious 🍮🍓. In the afternoon, I strolled along the Dotonbori canal again. The evening crowd was larger, but it was still enjoyable. I bought lots of souvenirs from Don Quijote, including face masks, Japanese snacks, cute keychains, and several boxes of green tea. ⸻ 🛫 Day 5: Goodbye Osaka – But my heart doesn’t want to leave 🥺 It’s the last day. I packed my bags and took a final walk around my accommodation. I found a small bento shop nearby for lunch and then took the train to the airport. Before leaving, I bought more souvenirs at Kansai Airport—Japanese-style snacks galore! I wanted my friends to experience the deliciousness of Osaka too. ⸻ 🩷 Post-trip reflections… Osaka is such a warm and welcoming city, with charming places, delicious food, kind locals, and endless fun. One visit is definitely not enough! I’m already planning to return, and next time, I’ll explore nearby areas like Nara and Kyoto.
