Osaka Travel Review, the City of Fun and Smiles That Melt Your Heart Osaka, Japan's third largest city Many people may overlook it because it is quiet under the shadow of Tokyo or Kyoto. But this is it...Osaka is a city full of color, liveliness and the cuteness of true Japan that made me fall in love with it from the first step I stepped foot here. ⸻ Namba & Dotonbori: A gathering place for fun and amazing food The Namba and Dotonbori areas are the heart of Osaka. As soon as you step out of the train station, you will be greeted by the colorful lights and sounds of neon signs, the aroma of food that permeates the walkways, and the sounds of people chatting all around. What I never miss is "Takoyaki", round balls that are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Filled with large pieces of squid, topped with sweet and salty sauce and Japanese-style mayonnaise, the perfect amount of sweet and sour. One bite is the ultimate pleasure. I also tried "Okonomiyaki" or Japanese pizza, soft dough mixed with vegetables and meat, topped with a unique, rich sauce. The taste is so delicious... I can't stop eating! At night, Dotonbori Canal is extremely romantic. The lights reflecting off the water, the colors are bright like we are in a movie. ⸻ Shinsaibashi: A cute shopping street that melts your heart Just a few minutes' walk from Dotonbori, we will find Shinsaibashi. A long shopping street full of super cool fashion shops, cute stationery shops, and really cute Japanese-style cafes. I enjoyed walking around so much, picking up pretty stickers, pastel-colored pens, cute notebooks, and filling my hands. The cafes in this area are a paradise for sweet lovers, with matcha cakes and cute Japanese-style sweets that are so good you want to sit and relax for a long time. ⸻ Osaka Castle: A symbol of a beautiful and peaceful city Osaka Castle is a place that impressed me the most, because in addition to the beautiful architecture, the surrounding atmosphere is also peaceful. There is a large garden and shady trees, perfect for truly relaxing. I sat and had a picnic under a big tree, ate the bento box I bought. I also got to see a 360-degree view of the city from the top of the castle, so beautiful that I almost took my breath away. ⸻ Universal Studios Japan: A magical world that makes your heart beat faster USJ is one of the highlights of this trip. I was so excited to enter the Harry Potter zone, walk around Hogsmeade Village, sip on sweet Butterbeer, and ride exciting rides that made my heart race. The Minion zone was also full of cuteness and brightness. The laughter and colors of the amusement park made me smile from the moment I stepped out of the park. ⸻ Kuromon Market: A foodie's paradise Kuromon Market is a place where fresh food and authentic Japanese flavors are gathered. I got to try the melt-in-your-mouth wagyu beef, the succulent garlic butter-grilled scallops, and the fresh sushi that almost floated. The fresh fruits, such as the large, sweet strawberries, were another memorable experience that you shouldn't miss. ⸻ Osaka: A city that warms the heart Osaka is not just a city with beautiful landmarks or delicious food, but a city that feels warm and friendly to everyone. People smile and help each other sincerely, making me feel at home. This place taught me that happiness doesn't have to be complicated. Just eating delicious food, being with the people we love, and smiling at each other is enough. ⸻ Summary of my impressions Osaka is a city that has everything: fun, cuteness, warmth, and delicious food that you want to tell others about.
