#summerdestinations During my summer vacation, I visited the Fortress of Palamidi in Nafplio, and it was an incredible experience. Perched on a hilltop overlooking the beautiful town and the Aegean Sea, this 18th-century fortress offers breathtaking panoramic views and a deep dive into history. The entrance fee was just €8, which was a great deal for the amount of history and scenery you get to enjoy. 🏰🌅 The climb up the 999 steps was a bit of a workout, but totally worth it for the stunning views and the chance to explore the well-preserved bastions and barracks. The fortress's strategic location and architecture are fascinating, and you can really feel the historical significance of the place. After exploring the fortress, I wandered around Nafplio's charming old town with its lovely cafes and narrow streets. Don’t miss the chance to visit the nearby Akronafplia, another historic site with great views.
