Guanyin Temple Pagoda

The Guanyin Temple Pagoda is located on the west side of Huang Street, South Gate, Lu'an City, Anhui Province. It is also known as the South Gate Pagoda and is a provincial cultural relic protection unit. The pagoda was originally a Tang Dynasty Buddhist pagoda, but after being repaired and rebuilt over the years, it lost its original appearance. It was rebuilt as a Wenfeng Pagoda in the Ming Dynasty, and was repaired and rebuilt in the Qing Dynasty and modern times. The pagoda is a pavilion-style brick pagoda with a solid hexagonal base. There is a round arch pagoda door at the base of the pagoda. The pagoda body is inlaid with porcelain plates from the Jiaqing period of the Qing Dynasty, and from the third level up, each level is inlaid with colored Buddha statues or patterns, which are beautifully shaped.
