|Explore the Ancient Town. Gepai Ancient Town is located 48 kilometers south of Lantian County, Xi'an, and 82 kilometers from Xi'an city. Situated in the hinterland of the northern foot of the Qinling Mountains, it borders Shangzhou District and Zhashui County of Shangluo City. Today, Gepai Ancient Town is small in size and population, but historically, it was a bustling commercial transit hub deep in the Qinling Mountains. During the Ming and Qing dynasties, due to its flourishing commerce, it became one of the four most famous towns in Lantian. Address: Hinterland of Qinling Mountains, Lantian County. 70 km from Xi'an's main urban area, 37 km from the county seat. National Highway G70 and Lantian-Zhashui Road pass through the town.
