Wat Rat Buranaram

Wat Chang Hai or Wat Rat Buranaram is located in Tambon Khuan Noree, Amphoe Khok Pho, Pattani Province. It is an ancient temple built over 300 years ago. According to legend, the Lord of Sai Buri released elephants to find a new city site. When the elephants stopped neighing at this place, he built a temple and invited Luang Pu Thuat to be the first abbot.   Wat Chang Hai is a center of faith for Buddhists nationwide, especially those who come to pay homage to Luang Pu Thuat Yiap Nam Tale Chuet, a famous and highly respected monk.
