Hiking, Temples, and Vibes I Didn’t Expect

#summervacay So I ended up hiking Duryunsan on a random trip, and did not expect it to be that cool. The trail started off pretty chill, but it definitely gets your legs working. Not impossible, but bring water unless you wanna hate yourself halfway up 😅. The best part? That temple tucked into the mountain, Daeheungsa. Super peaceful, felt like I walked into a Studio Ghibli scene. There were barely any people around, which made it even better. Just birds, breeze, and the occasional monk. The views from the top? Insane. You get this sweeping panorama of mountains and ocean, and it makes the climb 100% worth it. Took way too many photos I’ll never post. After the hike, grabbed some pajeon and makgeolli at a nearby spot, classic mountain food and sooo satisfying. Duryunsan’s lowkey magical. If you’re down for a hike with serious pay-off (and minimal crowds), this one’s a win.
