Spent several days in Iceland, and on the third night, I finally saw the Northern Lights. It was so touching! I've heard that some people stay for many days and still don't get to see them, so I was really happy to catch a glimpse. Although it wasn't a major display, witnessing the ever-changing green lights made me truly appreciate the beauty and wonder of nature. Despite the high cost, seeing the Northern Lights is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that you won't regret.

and the first stop on my journey through Iceland.
Here, there are houses with vibrant colors,
a church with a structure similar to basalt rock formations,
poetic and picturesque scenery accompanied by snow mountains,
and I am deeply healed by the beauty before me.
In this candy-like dazzling city,
just wandering around can yield beautiful photos.
Everywhere the eye reaches is a landscape,
unfolding around the Hallgrimskirkja Church.
To the left, at the end of the road, there is the sea, and also snow mountains,
straight ahead there will be a rainbow road,
and with a 5x zoom on the phone, you can even capture a close-up of the church.
When you take the elevator to the top of the church,
you can overlook the entire city.

Spent our wedding anniversary at Iceland and it’s so worth it! We’ve been surveying the journey on all platforms and trip has what we needed for. From fly with Saudia (which provides non-stop in-flight meals 😍) to touchdown. Altho it has some hiccups in terms of airport transfer (a bit rushing to chase the bus and the plane). Backpacking through Europe has always been my dream. So, I started researching a year ago - from choosing suitable countries, planning my itinerary, annual leaves, figuring out transportation, accommodations, medicines, anti-theft measures, weather-appropriate clothing, and packing techniques. I also put effort into dressing for fluctuating temperatures (from 5°C to 46°C).
This seemingly unattainable dream slowly became a reality, step by step.

I would say this itinerary is a pretty comfortable, chill and relaxing one.
I originally planned my itinerary to '12 countries', given all these countries are just next to each other, I was in a dilemma to choose among all of them!

The Aurora Borealis takes its name from the Roman goddess of dawn, Aurora.
The best place to see the northern lights in Iceland is the Jokulsarlon glacier lagoon, which lies by the Vatnajokull glacier. You can drive to the lagoon along the Ring Road from Vik or find one of the black sand beaches of South Iceland to enjoy the view of the lights dancing across the sky.
The best month to see the northern lights in Iceland is December btw we been at the end of november and we managed to see it 3 days in 10 days holiday.
minimum of 1 week in Iceland is ideal I think.
They don't usually exhibit for long – they may only show for a few minutes, then glide away before returning. A good display may last for no longer than 15-30 minutes at a time, although if you're really lucky, it could extend to a couple of hours or longer.

Mulagljufur Canyon is one of the prettiest canyons in Iceland and It really fantastic hike! I am not an avid hiker but i want to walk around and keep it in mind.
Nauthusagil Waterfall is located north of fellow waterfall, Seljalandsfoss. It also spend some time for hiking and from the waterfall as well as additional time for posing for pictures in front of the mighty curtain of water.
Consider staying at one of the Brú Guesthouses. These atypical, square structures are lined up in a neat row in a field near Nauthusagil Waterfall.

Dari awal sampai habis total 2 jam tapi 30 minit je dalam air. Sejam setengah briefing dan pakai dry suit. Drysuit ni buat badan float dan jadi ringan, jadi tak penat sangat nak gerak. Rules kat sana tak boleh lebih 40 minit dalam air sebab sejuk. Bagi yang selalu snorkeling atau diving akan rasa 30 minit tu sekejap sangat, macam nak lama-lama lagi. Kalau tak biasa mungkin rasa uncomfortable lepas 30 minit tu. Part paling best boleh minum air fresh kalau haus.
Dry suit dan equipment
Masa book tour tu, instructor dah minta tinggi/berat/saiz kasut. So mmg fit drysuit tu. Sebelum pakai dry suit, kena pakai 2 layer lagi kat dalam. Thermal dan suit biasa. Struggle jugak nak pakai drysuit tu, kena instructor yang pakaikan especially bila nak masukkan kepala sebab area leher paling ketat supaya air tak masuk dalam baju.
Gloves pun ada 2 layer. Pakai outer gloves tu dah macam jadi astronaut. Lepas tu dapat snorkel set dan fin. Bila masuk dalam air, yang sejuk muka je. Bahagian lain semua kering dan warm. Bila naik semula ke darat kepala je yang basah.
Pengalaman
Dari area tempat bersiap tu kena menapak macam penguin ke tempat mula snorkelling. Sampai sana instructor akan double check semua equipment. Mula-mula masuk dalam air tu dry suit menggelembung. Instructor akan adjust sikit bagi kempis then off you go. Tips dia gerak depan sekali belakang instructor supaya dapat banyak gambar.
Masa menyelurusi di antara 2 tentonic plate, terasa sejuk di muka sekejap lepas tu tak rasa apa dah. Area kat situ ada yang sangat dalam dan ada yang cetek. View memang sangat awesome, sangat clear, sangat biru.
Lepas 30 minit sampai la ke lagoon before naik balik ke darat. Lagoon ni open area jadi arus kuat, struggle jugak nak cari arah tuju. Instructor bagi extra 10 minit untuk explore lagoon tu tapi time tu dah habis tenaga.
Dah naik darat kena menapak jauh sikit ke parking lot. Masa ni summer, angin sepoi bahasa jadi tak rasa sejuk. Kalau winter mungkin beku bila naik. Lepas tukar baju lepak kejap minum hot chocolate dan dapat biskut.
Kesimpulan
Sangat berbaloi. One of the best experience ever. Kalau ada certificate diving boleh dive terus. Mesti lagi best.
Iceland

Nature's exertions have not ceased since the time land was pushed up from the North Atlantic seabed by volcanic forces.
You must visit this place if you can, this country is impressive and makes you feel like in Jules Verne's book (journey to the center of the earth) It is best to rent a good car to tour the island.

if you ever get a chance to go to Iceland you should definitely go and chase all the waterfalls that are available in the country. they look so magnificent and pretty it’s like you can’t believe you are watching them in real life right before your eyes. would of course recommend driving around Iceland as each destination would take quite a bit of time to go there and it would definitely be more convenient if you rent a car here as it’s the best way to move around.
the water falls are very pretty and perfect for taking some insta worthy images to keep as memory and look back at the happy times.
Iceland: a land of fire and ice
Iceland is one of the most beautiful places on earth. It's scenery is so diverse. Within an hour's drive you can see the landscape change from grassland to mountain and everything in between. It's known as the land of fire and ice as you can find both volcanoes here as well as massive glaciers. Any time of the year you'll see snow.
Some of the highlights of your stay in Iceland will be exploring all the locations on the island such as the geisers you can find on the so-called Golden circle tour. Or you can go to the south of the country and see the glaciers. You may even climb one, or you can climb a volcano instead.
To get to Iceland you will have to fly to Keflavik Airport, located a little outside Reijkjavik, the biggest city on the island. It makes sense to find a hotel here and use the capital city as a base for exploring the rest of the region.

It’s breathtaking everywhere I went in Iceland. Every corner contains a beautiful treasure, either a stunning view of the waterfalls or a snowy top mountain hidden among the clouds.
Iceland is definitely a place worth discovering.
Icely Jakulsarlon
Jökulsárlón is a glacial lagoon, bordering Vatnajökull National Park in southeastern Iceland. The trip was somewhere in June 2014. It was around 12 to 17 celcius.
We secured the trip through a guided tour. Although it was quite expensive, we believe it was the best option knowing that we have very limited time in Iceland. Transportation, food, guide and accommodation were taken care of effectively. The journey from Reykjavik by bus took us about 11 hours and we made two stops at Hvolsvöllur and Vík í Mýrdal.
The trip was all amazing as the landscape was all covered with snow. mountains, roads, villages were all icy cold.
Jakulsarlon offers a gorgeous, peaceful and amazing glacial lagoon.

Iceland Þingvellir National Park
Getting There - driving in Iceland is the norm. Take road no. 1 heading north out of Reykjavík. After driving through the town Mosfellsbær take the first exit to the right at roundabout onto road no. 36 to Thingvellir. This route follows the main road to Thingvellir and is ploughed most days during the winter.
Attractions - Þingvellir National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage site. this is because of its contribution to iceland as well as to the world . the national park is actually the site of the world’s oldest existing parliament. one interesting thing about the Þingvellir National Park is that it has been a nature reserve since 1928 because of its historical, natural and geological significance. This means that it can never be sold and will always belong to the people of Iceland. It’s also an adventurer’s paradise, with a range of hiking routes, dramatic waterfalls and rugged geological formations. it’s recommended to visit there if you’re in Iceland. look at how beautiful the pictures turn out to be!
