North Cape, Norway in summer

The North Cape is the name of a cliff located at 71° 10′ 21″ north latitude, 307 meters above the Barents Sea level of the Arctic Ocean. It is usually referred to as the northernmost point of continental Europe. However, the true northernmost point of continental Europe is the Nordknaphut, located at 71° 08′ 02″ north latitude in Norway. Nordkapp is a municipality in Tromsø-Finnmark county, with Honningsvåg as its administrative centre. Other towns and villages include: Jesvell, Køfjord, Kämvanrhe, Kärvik, Nordvågen, Repvåg, Skarsvåg and Valan. The North Cape first became famous in 1553 when English explorer Richard Chancellor attempted to find a sea route through the Northeast Passage. For centuries, this has been a great adventure for travelers. As a majestic landmark, it has always challenged explorers, royalty and tourists from the north. This coastal city (although by Chinese standards it's pretty rural) is home to a large seabird colony. Jes Verstappen's island group is one of the most famous, with at least 2,500 pairs of razorbills. The road to North Point was built in 1956 and the last section is narrow, with steep slopes and many bends. The weather in the North Cape changes rapidly. It can change from sunshine to cloudy, from strong wind to calm in an instant. Especially in winter, if there is a blizzard, the traffic here will be paralyzed. Therefore, there are almost no tourists here in winter, and the Northern Lights are also rarely seen. But I still prefer the North Cape in winter, even though we have to follow the snowplow (Figure 2) to enter the North Cape in winter. Experience endless daylight in the summer, and the intensity of the midnight sun (Figure 3) will show you the coast with abundant bird life, grazing reindeer, and the breathtaking Arctic Ocean. However, due to the unpredictable weather, there is no guarantee that you will be able to see the midnight sun in summer. It really requires fate. Unlike winter, there are many tourists every day at midnight in the North Cape in summer. On the contrary, there are not many tourists during the day, which can be seen from the photos, including the time when the globe was cleared. Due to heavy tourist traffic in the summer, the North Cape offers an extensive transportation infrastructure for such a small and remote city.
