Bergen, Norway's second largest city

Founded in 1070, Bergen is the second largest city in Norway. It is located on the steep fjord line on the west coast of Norway, leaning against the harbor and seven hills. The city is close to the blue bay and directly connected to the Atlantic Ocean. It is a beautiful harbor city. Bergen is a rainy area due to the warm winds caused by the Mexican warm current. In 2000 Bergen was selected as one of the nine European Cities of Culture. Its charm is on display in theatre, dance, music, art, food and exhibitions. Bergen's main buildings, tourist areas and tourist service centers are all near the Bryggen port. In the north, there are ancient buildings from the medieval Hanseatic League era, and in the south are modern shopping streets. Bergen is one of the main ports of call for many Nordic and Arctic cruise routes. It has a large number of tourists, especially Chinese tourists, who often visit here to check in.
