Delving deep into the heart of Gongga, one realizes that the soul of this snow mountain is hidden within the depths of its glaciers. The glaciers of Hailuogou extend down from the main peak of Gongga, with massive ice bodies resembling blue crystal palaces. The moraine stones on the surface carry the weight of time, forming a striking contrast with the sparkling ice layers. Walking on the glacier, the ice beneath your feet emits a faint sound, as if telling ancient stories. Inside the ice caves, the scene is even more magical; sunlight refracts through the ice layers, casting a dreamy blue glow. The ice pillars and stalagmites inside take on various shapes, like a magical world of ice and snow. Here, time seems to lose its meaning, leaving only the glacier’s breath intertwined with your heartbeat. Gongga’s silence is hidden in every detail. On the mountainside, the red stone beach is adorned with red algae clinging to the rocks, vividly standing out against the white snow like a ruby belt around Gongga’s waist. At the foot of the mountain, hot springs emit curling steam, blending with the cold air of the snow mountain to create a wondrous scene of “ice and fire.” Soaking in the hot springs while gazing up at Gongga, even the wind becomes gentle. At dusk, the clouds and mist gradually gather, hiding Gongga’s silhouette and leaving only a hazy outline. At this moment, it loses some of its kingly majesty and gains a mysterious gentleness.
