Blackwater Yangrong Hade Guesthouse

This trip took me to Yangrong Village in Daofu, Ganzi Prefecture, Sichuan. I specifically chose the Yangrong Hade Guesthouse to truly experience the lifestyle and atmosphere of a Tibetan village. The guesthouse is located within Yangrong Village, nestled against the highland mountains. Surrounded by authentic Tibetan architecture and winding paths, the night view at dusk is particularly breathtaking. Just stepping out of the guesthouse allows you to stroll around and admire traditional Yangrong Tibetan houses while experiencing the simple daily life of the local villagers. Transportation: Yangrong Village is about a 30-minute drive from Daofu County. It is recommended to hire a car or arrange transportation through the guesthouse. If you are driving yourself, it’s even more convenient, and the highland scenery along the way is worth the trip alone. Guesthouse Services: The owners proactively arrange breakfast and dinner for guests and sometimes prepare authentic Tibetan meals for everyone to try. The food is simple yet heartwarming. The house is decorated in a traditional Tibetan style with vibrant colors, offering plenty of photo-worthy spots. The room windows provide expansive views of the highland village and its nightscape. Must-see Highlights: Around the village, you can enjoy easy hikes along the river and small bridges, capturing endless photos. The lighting on the Yangrong buildings after sunset creates an incredible atmosphere, perfect for artsy photos. Additionally, the guesthouse owners are happy to share the history of Yangrong Village and Tibetan customs, offering a deeper cultural experience. Tips: The temperature difference between day and night in the highlands is significant, so remember to bring a jacket. If there are any village activities, don’t hesitate to join in—you might have unexpected and rewarding experiences. The village is quiet at night, making it ideal for slow living and enjoying the night views.
