The Poem Hotel
4.5/537 Reviews
Situated right next to the beach and the restaurants that line the beach in a very quiet town ofMae Phim this hotel does it all. It is immaculately clean with large rooms and superb water pressure. The hotel pool is beautiful and the staff are fantastic. The price is spot on and we will continue returning here for as long as we can.

Sai Kaew Beach
Nice little split level duplex. 2 queen beds on upper level , with glass sliding door and own ac. Big double day bed and massive TV downstairs. Fridge and kettle. Separate shower and toilet. Bit of a communal seating area right outside. Owners very good communication and helpful. Rented scooter for 300.
Bandara on Sea, Rayong

Spent 5 days with my son for a holiday break. This is an ideal place for people looking for a quiet and relaxing resort. The rooms (bungalows) have been repainted and are very comfortable with aircon, wi fi, and a large bathroom with shower, Two swimming pools available including a kiddies section. Nice mix of foreigners and Thai guests. The quality and price ratio is excellent and we now avoid branded hotels that have higher expenses. We like comfort and the sea and can do without the extras. The beach was beautiful and the sea clear. Perhaps this is the best period to visit. Many activities around the hotel such as snorkelling and diving. I would return since this is the kind of place we love. English could be a problem for folks not living in Thailand but the staff do their best to help you.
Samed Grandview Resort

Sai Kaew Beach
Great location on main beach and decent beach bar area (live band WAY too loud). Room was a decent price but a bit weird: downstairs bathroom, bedroom upstairs above it. But the staff are not friendly at all, the bins & ashtrays around the resort are not emptied, the bread from the bakery is not fresh and the maids leave the corridors in a real mess during the day. But to be fair, service across the whole of Samed it pretty bad - and I’ve been going there for 35 years! But this is a place we won’t bother with a second time.
Sai Kaew Beach Resort

Sai Kaew Beach
This hotel has the best atmosphere on the Sai Kaew Beach, but it asking price far exceeds the value of dining and service they provide. Basically, they charge close to 5-star prices for what is essentially a pretty nice 3-star hotel. Hotel staff were fine, but the staff at the beach club, which is part of the hotel, tend to be very rude to customers. They enjoy giving guests orders that do not make much sense. Other guests got yelled at for resting their legs on a chair at the their table. I came back from the beach, dried myself and changed a shirt before sitting down on a beach towel, and I was ordered to leave (by yelling) because I'm wet. I am respectful of rules and my family and I have visited many beach front properties, I do not believe we commited any violation of etiquette. I also did not see any of these ”rules” displayed near the beach club. May be this is part of their culture at the Sai Kaew Resort, but when they ask for almost USD 20 (incl. tax) for a simple plate of pasta and YELL at customers, then none of these is acceptable. PS. We stayed over 4 nights, and the breakfast buffet was swarmed by flies every morning. Their food court style free seating arrangement means we had to awkwardly hunt down tables ourselves. Again, TOTALLY NOT WORTH THE MONEY.
Vongdeuan Resort

Ao Wong Duan
First, I chose Koh Samet because I asked a local Thailand friend which island has not been overdeveloped since my early days coming to Thailand in the 1990s. His response was ”head to Koh Samet”. I looked for a value hotel on one of the more southern, less developed beaches which led me to Wong Duean Bay and the Vongdeuan Resort. The pool was a big draw. With the low tide being pretty extreme, it is really nice to have the salt water pool to cool off in and swim laps. The food seemed pretty authentic to me. With mainly Thai visitors coming in on the weekends it figures the food would be good at the Vongdeuan Resort. :) The staff were wonderful and always so fun to share a story or two with. The beach area all along the bay was extremely clean with no plastic on the beach or garbage in the water. This is a big plus when going to the shore in SE Asian countries. There are several beach restaurants but none of them had loud music, at least during the weekdays when I was there. It is definitely a sleepy and peaceful place to enjoy the water at high tide as well as the white sand beach for walks.
Baan Ploy Sea

Ao Noi Nha
We stayed at the Ploy Sea a couple of weeks ago for 3 nights. The hotel was fairly quiet and so they very kindly upgraded our room to a sea view. Staff were very friendly, accommodating and welcoming. In particular a lady who worked on the front desk called Ratchadaporn. She was amazing and helped us so much. The food in the restaurant was a good standard with plenty of choice and the sea front was just idillic. Looking forward to returning again soon.
The Great Rayong Hotel
4.3/564 Reviews
Great Rayong Resort – Excellent, very budget hotel this part of the beach MaeRanpueng. Located in a alley, 200m from the highway and beach. There are small cafes next to it, only, it is very difficult to identify them - like, there are chairs and a pair of tables, and neither staff nor visitors are observed. Along the beach there are typical beach ”food” and macachees are accommodated. There are plenty of shops, including 7/12. The hotel is ubiquitous (in rooms too) WI-FI, a very cozy pool, friendly staff. Breakfasts, depending on the population, either a Swedish table or a fix. But even when the husband was fixed at request, they brought an addition without problems. The dishes are undelicate but delicious. From the shortcomings – no balcony and fruit for breakfast. Beaches – sandy, spacious and unlimited, excellent water, and the main great without people.

The hotel is calm, the service is good, the cleanliness is not that great, other than that it's ok. The view is very beautiful, suitable for sleeping and relaxing.

Rayong City Center
Very friendly and helpful staff. The location is close to a shopping mall and close to some bus companies from where you can travel to other cities in Thailand. Breakfast buffet is rich and delicious.
