Staff are very friendly. Free breakfast with a classic touch (old style coffee) and the free entry ticket to Lost World of Tambun from the Hotel is a BIG PLUS point. Room is clean and tidy.

My second time staying at this hotel, the first time was on official work, and this time for holiday. The staff are friendly and helpful, especially Annie at the Front Office. The room was nice and clean, had a bath tub and sufficient plug points. The hotel also serves supper beside breakfast, no other hotels serve supper before, except for events, so it's a big plus, and the food is delicious, especially their signature nasi lemak, the best I had in a hotel. And the hotel also link to the shopping mall, Ipoh Parade. So I think this hotel have a complete package.

This was my first time staying in a hotel like this, and it was a really novel experience. This particular place absolutely blew me away; the value for money is incredible. It was a fantastic stay! The only downside was that my car, parked in a spot right outside the hotel, actually got a parking ticket. I couldn't believe it!

The hotel is located in an residential area. Need to book a grab or drive to places for food and shopping. But this hotel is comfortable and affordable. Hotel staff is friendly. Self service laundry at level 3 Room is of a decent size, comfortable bed, good water pressure and ac is cold. Only TV channels cable is not very stable. It has a cafe on ground floor. This is my 3rd staying in this hotel. Will not be my last time staying here

Hotel Grand Baron is a great place to stay if you want quiet and peaceful hotel. About 2 km from Taiping center, so you might need to drive or take a cab/grab to move around Taiping town. But if you like the nature, it is quite near to Burmese pool, Bukit Larut, Zoo Taiping and Taman Tasik Taiping

Overall, it was a pleasant stay the room was comfortable and service was good. However, the parking area could use more space, and the water heater needs improvement as the water turns from hot to warm after some time.

My 3rd time stay at this hotel. Overall i can say is the first (2022) and second (2023) better than this time (2025). I don't know why, but I think they need to upgrade their facilities (shower, television channel, mini refrigerator, cleanliness of mattress, got stain on it) cause its look old ☹️. But, the service soo good. They sooo friendly and welcoming. I feel very comfortable and make me want to stay again and again at Novotel whenever I go to Taiping. Btw, their breakfast quite good.

Newly renovated room on 8 floor. Very decent room and breakfast for the pricing. Parking outside the hotel . Good location near to airport and petrol station. Hotel is under renovation but still is decent enough. 41 RM for breakfast for 1 pax seem cheaper than booking online which is for 2 pax and higher price.

We're frequent travellers to Ipoh on monthly basis. As we arrived early before 3pm this time, counter staff was working on allowing about 2 hours of early check-in, appreciated. Vehicle parking process was well explained. Restaurant staff were friendly during breakfast session.

Hotel was great, good breakfast spread, walking distance to the mall n the night market. Short distance to airport. Next to a few good massage spots and also a few convenient stores!
