[Best hotel for travel and business use] Located in front of Imari Station (about 1 minute walk from JR side), it is convenient for travel and business use anyway. In addition, there are many thankful elements such as hot spring facilities, free of charge for guests, and free drinks and breakfast after check-in.

I originally planned a trip to Fukuoka but came to Saga for the Saga beef. I booked the convenient Comfort Hotel Saga. The room was really small, and they didn't provide drinking water. On the first floor, they only offered basic cotton swabs and toothbrushes, so I was glad I brought my own cotton pads and shower cap. Check-in and check-out at the hotel were self-service. The hotel's location is indeed excellent; it's within walking distance to Saga Castle and the Balloon Museum. It's also right next to Saga JR Station, and you can take a bus to the famous YouMe Town in Saga. The bus stops are well-connected and right by the JR station, making it very convenient. However, at over 700 [currency unit] per night, the value for money isn't great when it's not peak season. If you prioritize convenient transportation, this place could be a good choice.

We drove 1.5 hours from Hakata to this hotel, quick far away. The osen hotel is pretty large and have public and private osen bath to choose from. Originally we booked the room with hot spring both but have been checked into a different room with a separate bath tub only. The hotel insisted this is the same room type and need to charge additional charge to upgrade to the better room that can have a separate hot spring bath. I called Trip.com and they admitted that there is some confusion on the room type and has agreed to pay for the extra charge to upgrade to the better room. So finally we paid the upgrade charge and moved to the better room with the hot spring bath. So overall it was still a very good experience. Thanks for Trip.com’s commitment to get the customer a better experience.👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I've always wanted to soak in a seaside hot spring, and I'm super satisfied. Get off at JR Hizen-Oura Station and take the hotel shuttle bus. The men's and women's open-air hot springs are interchangeable, but they are both located at a great location with a view of the sea. There is also a sea torii gate nearby. The bus leaves every hour. The last bus is around 17:00, so be sure to check the time.

The front desk staff weren't very proactive; they didn't greet guests coming or going. The room was average, but the bathroom threshold was exceptionally high, and I almost tripped every time I entered or exited. Let me especially talk about the large public bath—the facilities are terrible! The dry changing area is tiny, so small that three people changing at once felt cramped. They also don't provide common amenities for women like hair ties or elastic bands. The open-air hot spring area has no thermometer, is very small, and there was a noticeable oil film and debris floating on the water. I feel the hygiene definitely needs improvement.

Just a 2-minute walk from JR station, located right on the shopping street with plenty of great food and shops nearby. The room was clean, and the service was warm and welcoming. They even have shared laundry machines, a dryer, microwave, and a fridge, which was a very thoughtful touch. Breakfast was simple, just milk and bread, but it tasted good. It would be even better if there were more options.

Finding a room of this size and at this price in Japan is incredibly rare. The sink area can be separated from the bed by a sliding door, and both the shower and toilet are in their own separate spaces. The hotel service is very thoughtful and I-person friendly, largely self-service. They provide disposable chopsticks and spoons for free, and there's coffee in the lobby, along with amenities like a microwave. There's also a communal long table area for guests to eat or relax. While you have to use the main entrance for check-in, you can then use a side door with a key card to quickly access the train, bus, or taxi stations, essentially teleporting you to the platform. From here, buses can take you directly to two different hot springs in various directions nearby. There are also buses to the Sea Torii Gate and Inari Shrine. Knowing the timetable makes getting around very convenient. Within a 10-minute walk, you'll also find drugstores, supermarkets, convenience stores, and Daiso. The three-story building behind the bus in the picture is the hotel.

The hotel has been open for over a hundred years, and although the facilities are a bit old, they are still kept spotless. The elderly lady was very welcoming; seeing that we were checking in on a hot day, she quickly brought us bottled ice water. The hotel also has onsen (hot spring baths), with separate baths for men and women. One highlight is that you can choose an elegant cup to enjoy your tea or coffee for free. Another highlight is that you can take photos with the antique objects. A third highlight is that they offer a light breakfast of bread, juice, and salad in the morning. After enjoying the evening activities, it's less than 200 meters from the entrance of the Takeo Onsen building, making it a great accommodation option.

We chose to stay here because hotels in Fukuoka were very expensive, and since we had the JR Pass, this location right beside the Tosu station was super convenient. The room was very clean, and the facilities were great — especially the included breakfast! It was a wonderful chance to try local Japanese dishes, and I really enjoyed it. The breakfast starts as early as 6:30am, which was very thoughtful — I still remember rushing to catch the 6:50am train to Fukuoka after eating, and I even had 5 minutes to spare, haha! Staff were friendly and helpful, though English communication was a bit more limited — probably because it’s not a major station area. Still, everyone had a great attitude and tried their best. Overall, a very satisfying stay!

The hotel is not far from the station and has a long history. The service staff are very enthusiastic. I booked a one-night stay with two meals. The food was very delicious. The outdoor hot spring environment is very good and the water is very good and clean.

GGuest UserI recommended traveling to Ureshino bus center (not interchange*) by bus from Hakata bus terminal if you weren't driving. I stayed in their standard room type. Bathing at their shared onsen was an experience. The facility was very clean. Ureshino onsen water would be what you came here for. The amenities were nice too. They offered excellent breakfast at 2,200 yen. It was a buffet line using local ingredients. While in the area try Yococho, izakaya sampo, and buy some ureshino green tea.

KKennyI recently stayed at Hotel R9 and had a pleasant experience, giving it an overall rating of 4 out of 5. I highly recommend this hotel, especially for short stays like overnight visits. The unique concept of individual container rooms at Hotel R9 adds a touch of novelty to the experience. While the rooms may not be spacious enough for two males sharing a double room, they are still comfortable for couples. I found the rooms to be clean and well-maintained, earning a perfect 5 out of 5 for cleanliness. Although Hotel R9 lacks fancy facilities like hot spring pools, swimming pools, and saunas, it does provide a convenient laundry room. This is particularly useful for solo and family travelers on a long trip but with a short stay at the hotel. Additionally, the hotel offers the option to soak in a hot water bath, which is especially rejuvenating when feeling tired. In terms of facilities, Hotel R9 falls slightly short with a rating of 3 out of 5. However, considering its focus on providing a comfortable and unique stay, the overall experience compensates for the limited facilities. The hotel's location is excellent, receiving a perfect 5 out of 5 rating when driving. As for the service, while it was generally good, there is room for improvement, leading to a rating of 4 out of 5. In conclusion, Hotel R9 is a great choice for travelers seeking a short, convenient stay. With its clean rooms, excellent location for drivers, and a range of practical amenities, it offers a pleasant experience overall.

AArtem MSpacious rooms, but only with separate beds. I like to sleep with my wife in the same bed, but in the room I had to sleep separately. This is a small disadvantage. They didn't clean the room even once for 3 days. Great breakfast, everything was excellent. The public bath was clean and spacious. I liked the yukatas that were given to me. The washing machines are located in the public bathhouse and are not available after 11 p.m. There is also no banknote exchange machine in the laundry room. The hotel is located far from the railway and it would be great to organize a transfer from the railway station to the hotel. Overall, I really enjoyed it.

AAnonymous UserIt was my first time staying in a youth hostel. I thought it would be hard, but it turned out to be clean, tidy and warm. It really broke my stereotypes. The location is just 7 or 8 minutes walk from the JR station, on the main road. Across the road is an izakaya with all local guests. It has a sense of age and atmosphere. The food is good. I recommend everyone to try it. It's called ”Tong”. There will be two buses to take everyone away at 9:50 the next morning for Spring Airlines flights. It's not far from the bus terminal, so you can walk there. Toiletries are charged extra, so I brought my own.

YYifan63There is a direct bus from Takeo to the hotel entrance, or you can take a bus to Ureshino Station to reach the hotel. The hotel is 10 stories high and is the tallest building in the area. It is very eye-catching. There is a tea and rest area on the ground floor. All toiletries must be taken to the room on the ground floor. The hot spring is on the 10th floor. It is divided into indoor and outdoor areas. The outdoor scenery is very good. You can enjoy the city scenery while taking a hot spring bath.
