Good is location. If you want hotel by the sea, then this is it. No other hotel offer such sea view and islands of Lae Lae. Bad points: Unfortunately the hotel is old and dirty. The lobby ceiling leaked, ac outlets are dirty. Room's cleanliness is average, chair and carpet are old and dirty. Bed sheets were a bit dirty. Everyday bath towels are smelly. No small towels for hand. Mininimum amenities. The breakfast spread is ok, fare of indonesian soto, mie ayam, various of nasi and chickens, egss, cakes fruits. The rooms is a bit damp, AC is average and noisy. Toom is thinly insulated, you can hear the noise from people talking at the alleys. Staff are friendly. This hotel should be 2 or 3 stars
If you want great view with an affordable price, then this hotel is for you. Choose the room with sea view to enjoy sunsets from your room. It's superb! The room is not too spacious but okhay. Worth at is price. Everything is clean. The breakfast also okhay. The provide delicious meal with quite wide range of options. Not so many, but sufficient. Overall, I love staying here
The reception staff went our their way to help me: they directed my Bluebird taxi driver, as he could not speak English; they helped me with ordering a Grab taxi; and even after I left the hotel, they contacted me to notify me about a restaurant I was asking them about. I am particularly thankful to Ms. Dewa for this support.
Very friendly, professional and comfortable service. I will always think about coming back to this Hotel to find comfort and vacation with family. Thankyou The Rinra
The location is strategic, but the experience is not optimal because the hotel cleanliness is not good (the 8th floor hall ceiling leaks everywhere, the room smells musty). Amenities, towels and soap, are also very minimal
The hotel is located near the pantai Makassar. You can get there by foot around 10-15 minutes. Around the vicinity, there are plenty of food stall especially Ikan bakar. The room where I stayed is spacious and clean with exception the towels are a little soiled. It's recommended for replacement to look more comfortable. The staff at the concierge are very friendly and professional. It's very reasonable for the value I have paid. I stayed for 3 nights in this hotel.
Still best hotel in town, will definitely come back! More breakfast spread would be nice

GGuest UserRoom was cheap so one cant expect too much, but the floor space around the bed was so small that a medium suitcase could not be put flat and opened. Not insurmountable if you are a solo traveller but somewhat inconvenient. No bottled water in the room, No means of heating water to make a cup of tea, coffee or packet soup.
Bed pillows were way too big and hard for me to sleep comfortably.
Shower water ran from cold to luke warm, back to cold again. Mind you it was midnight when my flight arrived at the airport but I was sooo looking forward to a nice hot shower.
Breakfast, which was included in the price consisted of 4 food warmers, all with just a few scraps of food remaining (cold), an almost empty dispenser of Milo Flakes breakfast cereal (which was stale), no sugar and no cold milk. Breakfast was advised as being available between 3am and 9am. I came down to the breakfast area at 7am. Only 1 young kid on duty who really looked as if he had no experience. The only food available upon request was lumpy soggy steamed rice and that also was not hot.
Overall, I suppose one could say that for the really low price the hotel was adequate. But forget the breakfast if you have onward travel by air and buy something decent at the numerous cafes on the quarantine side of the airport's departures area.
AAnindya azaliaLocated strategically at sam ratulangi street. The staffs are not well trained, the reception doesn’t even know the meaning of TWIN BED that I had to argue with him? Showers are not properly functioning. Breakfast was quite ok…
There’s always at least one miscommunication between me and the reception staff on every each day, such a draining experience to stay at this hotel especially when you’re on vacation.
AAnonymous UserFacilities: First-class, free gym with well-equipped facilities
Hygiene: There is a dedicated person cleaning every day, very clean
Environment: Beautiful scenery with unobstructed views of the city
Service: The front desk and staff speak fluent English and have a good attitude
GGuest UserThe receptionist and security guard were friendly, we were given an early check-in dispensation, we arrived at 11, we waited a while, at 11.30 we were allowed to check in even though it should have been at 14.00, there was a welcome drink in the lobby, the water was strong like a fire engine, it was really cool. The room was clean, there were no sandals, there were 4 clothes hangers, it was pretty good
SShakespeareActually I oredered the room with see view but I got city view, also the room that I got not like what I expected, it was romm with connecting door which is not my preference and from my view the room 509 hasn't been use for long time and it was seems forced to be open because all the room was packed. the water super dirty when you flush the toilet, the AC is leaked and not working properly which made me waited around 1 hour to be fixed. I mean why you did not check it before you open and sell that room?. However the the bed was clean the room smells good and the receptionists was too slow but kind
if you ask me do I want to booked again, the answer is no because I paid pretty decent money for this room
There are a lot good price hotels near there so I hope Khas Makassar Hotel should learn from my story
Thanks
GGuest UserThe hotel is on the seaside, very close to it on foot. The breakfast buffet the next day was also good. There is a good seafood restaurant near the hotel. It is a recommended hotel.
