I had a pleasant stay at the hotel. The service was excellent, with staff being attentive and friendly throughout my visit. The facilities were well-maintained, offering great amenities. The room was clean and comfortable, providing everything I needed for a relaxing stay. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would happily return! Worth to mention lots of space on the stairs and also access to the lift.

A really well run hostel with great customer service and handy luggage storage. Despite some minor issues (key card initially not working, online ordering to the bar not showing up), the staff seemed very attentive and handled these problems really well. I booked a double room to stay in for one night, and the room itself was very spacious with a good shower, only issues were the bed (had a very solid/firm mattress) and some nitpicky cleanliness issues, but for the price I paid and the distance between the hostel and the best bits of Brighton, it honestly did not bother me much. If you are looking for a cheap and easy place to stay with great service and value, this place is great!

Everything I needed for an easy and comfortable stopover for work. Friendly welcome, comfy bed, clean room, decent shower for a very reasonable price. Location wasn’t particularly important as I arrived late and left early, but the Majestic is right on the seafront, perfectly placed for the beach, shops, bars and restaurants. Hotel bar looked nice but it was just a bed for the night on this occasion. Would certainly stay again. Thanks to staff.

Nice hotel, clean and food was good. Shower was playing up, no hot water so had to come out of the shower to call reception.  Not a big issue as they sent someone upstairs to repair it.

The room is large, clean and comfortable. The front desk was very helpful and helped me check in early. They also told me the bus route to Seven Sister Cliff in detail. It is very close to the hotel and there is a bus at the door. There is a big beach in front of the hotel, which the children like very much.

Used this as a convenient stay over to attend a function locally. It was much better than expected. We were able to use the swimming pool and sauna before we went out. We had a lunch in the bar which was reasonably priced and good quality. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was really nice and hot, great selection fruit yoghurt cereal and full English with tea and coffee. I would use this hotel again

I have stayed in the Leonardo Hotels chain in various cities in England. Brighton, in particular, is located just opposite the train station, which is easy to access for travel and parking. However, the cleanliness of the room was not up to par. There were stains on the carpet, mould on the toilet sinks, and a dirty tub with mould and limescale. There was no toothpaste/toothbrush provided. No room slippers. Most of the Leonardo chains I have stayed at have better standards. So I was surprised.

Fantastic stay! Highly recommend. My partner and I stayed for a night. Arrived rather late and the staff were still up waiting for us. Acknowledged us by name and showed us up to our sea-facing room. Clean, well furnished, minimalist modern and spacious feel. Woke up to a fantastic unblocked sea view in our large window. Breakfast was available to all in the kitchen/ pantry from 7.30-10 with a more than decadent spread of your staples, hot fresh brewed tea and coffee. Minor drawback was the slightly longer walking distance from the city (about 15mins), no toothbrush available, and had I not read up online ahead of time, I’d never be able to find the place as there is (as many others have also mentioned) no clear sign that says “The Halcyon”. So to anyone to follow in our steps, this is honestly a beautiful place to stay. Excellent value for money away from the noise of the town centre, wonderful hospitable staff for a lovely guest experience, delightful & scrumptious brekkie, cosy and clean modernistic rooms & gorgeous views to wake up to. No hassle checking in or out. Just be mindful to look out for the big words that says “HOTEL” and you’re very likely at the right spot. (Checkout photos 1&2) Walk in without fear and be greeted by warm smiles and a fantastic experience all around.

GGuest UserBusy pub, limited menu, good access on foot to town centre, a large pay and display parking lot over the road, also on-street parking (difficult). Parking lot has disabled places, with other spaces charged on a pay and display basis. We had contacted The Dorset for advice regarding parking, specifically the availability of nearby blue badge permit parking. We received one line that 'the last time they looked there was parking'. Rooms are upstairs, our room as far away as possible, off a small dark hall. Motion-triggered lighting, albeit delayed, in other hall and corridors. I am surprised Health & Safety did not require a stair handrail to be fitted to stairs en route. Our room was small but adequate, a low, small double bed being the only place to sit. The furniture, of inferior quality, not durable, the rail inside the wardrobe, with a motley array of coat-hangers, detaches very easily. One low-wattage bulb in a low and small lamp on the cabinet on the far side of the bed. Tea/coffee was provided, also biscuits. bottled water and a kettle (not empty). The Lazza coffee maker is slightly incongruous, taking up, along with the small tv, most of a small desk. We put the machine underneath. Our view was an adjacent part of the building. The curtains, one of which was inside out, were kept closed by securing the bottom window on the hem.Heating was inadequate, the windows and the door both need insulation. Bathroom has all basics but no towel rail.Hand towels and bath mat, had to be draped on a small radiator by the w.c. Bath towels were not replaced, nowhere to hang or dry them. The basin was big and deep. It would be useful to have a plug. There was no plug at all, merely a hole into the unknown. The shower worked adequately, despite the broken hose. Drain was blocked, water drained extremely slowly, flood threatened. Hook was missing from bathroom door. Upon arrival, we said we would be eating in the pub that evening but we went downstairs at 7pm to be told the kitchen was closed for a private party. Self-service continental breakfast was adequate - choice of cereal, croissants, blueberry muffins, jam, various teas, orange juice, yoghurts, fruit (pear, clementine, one apple). We were the first down and the random, inadequate supply of cutlery (two cereal spoons, one knife,16 large forks and teaspoons), was unwelcoming, as was an almost empty milk jug. We were greeted pleasantly but immediately asked if we wanted toast. Very nice toasted bread it was, too but should be offered during the cereal course. Pats of butter supplied with the toast were enough, just, for the toast but none for either a croissant or a muffin. No offers of more toast. Choice of jams was limited, most being packets of blackcurrant or raspberry, two packets of marmite, several of strawberry and two packets of thin-shred marmalade. That was morning 1. Morning 2, the choice was diminished by the previous day's consumption so no marmalade at all. Had we been staying longer, by day 4 we would have been down to a couple of packets of blackcurrant jam only. Our second morning was Saturday. The notice in our room said weekend breakfast was served 8.30-10.00; we marked time in our room, at the appointed hour going down, to be told that the room notice was incorrect, should have been replaced a couple of weeks ago, with breakfast 9.00-10.00. The breakfast girl was pleasantly apologetic, if off-hand, and eventually, breakfast was put out. This hotel is badly let down by its lack of attention to detail. It is clean, safe, the staff pleasant, but off-hand, not customer-oriented, room guests feel unwelcome. The rooms are all above the public areas, noisy during opening times but quiet when bar is closed. Our stay was okay but the lack of attention to detail/maintenance was irritating, distracting from what was to have been a relaxed visit. If there was a viable alternative, we would not stay there again..

GGuest UserThe kings Hotel was in a good location on the seafront. Parking could cause you some issues on arrival as hotel parking spaces are limited and also cones at an additional cost. Room 507 was very clean comfortable nice & quiet - however not really a issue the TV was not tuned you would have expected just to turn it on with a choice of channels to select - even going through the TV settings there was no digital signal to be able to tune the TV in🤔 All the staff were very receptive informative and made our stay a pleasant experience from checking in / out / breakfast service - Thank You👍 🤗Mike & Catherine🤗

BBebelianaFamily Suite is fantastic. Big room, very comfortable bed with one sofa bed already set up. We are lucky to have a corner room with five full windows which three of them are directly facing to the ocean. Breakfast is nice with sufficient choice of food and beverages. Check in & out is efficient! Only minor thing is that the shower holder is a bit loose so can’t hold the shower head. But the location is the best and there are plenty of sightseeing points, activities and nice restaurants are just within walking distance. This hotel is just located opposite to the i360 tower. Upside down house, Long Beach and also 5 minutes walk to the arcade The Pier!! We will definitely come back for our next visit to Brighton!!

GGuest UserThank you for a lovely stay the location of the hotel was great for us. Being close to the start of the beachyhead race and then the beach and the pier was exactly what we needed. The parking permits were helpful to and we had no trouble with this. I would say having booked the deluxe room it was all great size for what we needed, the room could do with somewhere to hang some coats ot clothing, a mirror in the room itself would also be a great touch. A few downsides were the curtains didn't fit the windows probably and the room was very hot even with the heating down and the radiator off. All in all a great stay and we would come again, the staff were very helpful

GGuest UserThe room was not large, but it felt modern and clean, just like the picture! The location was good, but it was disappointing for a place where 4 people went and paid 80,000 won per person. There was no elevator and the bathroom was shared... ㅠ But I think that date was a bit expensive. I looked up other dates and it was just a little cheaper. I would have been 99% satisfied! The bathroom was clean, but there was no shampoo. They gave us one towel each.

AAJ MamarilPros: This hotel is a stone throw away from the beach and commercial areas. Clean rooms and facility. I like the spa facility because they have gym, pool, steam room, and sauna. It’s very relaxing. Our breakfast is the highlight of our stay. Lots of food choices with a view of the beach and Brighton pier. Staff are friendly and accomodating. I like the online checkout, it’s a time saver. Cons: I am disappointed because I booked a superior room with sea view but they gave me a partial sea view instead. Didn’t bother to ask because I was very exhausted after a long trip. Our bathroom has a rusty shower head and bath drainage. Didn’t managed to go to the sauna because it’s jampacked. Overall, good experience.

Llann94High hopes but this feel quite short in a number of ways. From the photos the room looked lovely and this did match up. However it did become apparent that aesthetics have been prioritised over other aspects. The pub/club opposite was still incredibly noisy at 2am (on a Tuesday) with the windows doing nothing to muffle the noise. There was fast food rubbish found next to one of the beds from a previous occupant, and this was quite a large wrapper that would have been difficult to miss during cleaning. Communication around bed preference was not good at all, I had specifically asked for a king (and have the evidence of this in my booking details) yet on arrival twin beds were set up. When I raised this with the company, there was no offer of rectifying this, instead I was told more than once that this had been the request. To add insult to injury, our neighbours in the room next door invited some friends to their room and it seemed they were having their own party at 3am with shouting, giggling and loud music and more than 5 in the one room. We knocked on the door in the end to request some quiet as, with the club outside, we were completely surrounded by noise. One small plus point that, once we managed to get to sleep, the bed (albeit the twin I hadn’t requested) was very comfortable.
