I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The location is excellent — just a short walk from the train station, which made travel extremely convenient. The staff were welcoming and helpful throughout my stay. The room was clean, well-maintained, and had everything I needed, including a comfortable bed, reliable Wi-Fi, and all the basic amenities. Overall, a great experience and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a convenient and comfortable place to stay.

The hotel is located directly above the train station, which made the area feel a bit chaotic. While navigating to the beach, I took some small paths where I saw a few homeless people and even witnessed a loud argument between a Black and a White person, which was quite unsettling. The white front desk staff member was completely expressionless. When I asked her if parking near the intersection was allowed for hotel guests, her only reply was, 'Only taxis can park here, I can do nothing.' To be fair, all the other staff members were very good. Perhaps this particular staff member gets asked about parking too often. The bathroom sink in our room drained incredibly slowly, almost completely blocked. The only positive was the fearless and adorable seagulls on our windowsill. Overall, I wouldn't really recommend this place. It's a 20-minute walk to the beach. If your budget allows, or during the off-peak season, I'd advise staying closer to the beach instead.

The room is smaller than in the photos. If you pull out the sofa bed in the living room, there is basically no extra space. The kitchen is long and thin. Although it is small, it is fully equipped and convenient for washing and cooking. The environment at the entrance of the hotel is average and under construction. But it is very close to all attractions.

The hotel boasts an excellent location, right on Brighton Beach, overlooking the sea. Our room was quite spacious. We opted for a top-floor sea-view room, enjoying the ocean vista directly from our bed. We fell asleep to the sound of the waves, and seagulls were constantly flying past our window. Just behind the hotel, Brighton's main street offers all sorts of supermarkets and restaurants. The room was very clean, breakfast was included, and the service was very friendly.

This was a really lovely stay. The room was clean and comfortable, and only a few minutes walk from the beach. I was staying alone and felt very safe in the area. The road was quiet but the windows were soundproofed well anyway; I couldn't even hear cars pass outside! Thank you, I'll definitely stay here again.

The hotel is super good, the room is quite big, very clean, two steps to the beach and the bus station, a little far from the train station, but the overall is very quiet and comfortable. The recommended breakfast shop is delicious. I also have a lot of snacks, love.

Nice flat great location close to beach and shops and restaurants , not so easy to find due to works going on where your are told to turn says taxi and buses only , says parking available on description but doesn’t mention extra cost which is disappointing as it does bump up the price and should inform that there is an extra charge also charge by day not by night so extra £60 for 2 nights , instructions for space weren’t clear had to call and a car was in the space , both showers not great hard to get temperature right and the en suite one was broken the attachment was broken so we didn’t use , there are a lot of stairs over 4 flights(77) apparently but that isn’t mentioned wasn’t an issue for us but If you have young children or elderly people or lots of luggage could be an issue, overall great location and a nice spacious flat

I really appreciate upgrade to room sea view. But on the night of our stay was very strong wind and omg felt like windows will fall out, we stayed up all night. Room was freezing. In the no when I did check why the wind noise was sooo bad I realised there was a massive gap between window and frame. On the check out girl asked how was my stay and when I said it was just alright, she wasn’t bothered to ask why and skipped to next question. I could point out issue we had but there was a guest in front of me who was talking about the same situation and girl at reception offered her blanket and heater, sounds like it’s on good problem in hotel with windows and stuff can’t be ask to deal with it.

We've been staying at this hotel for years, the hotel is right on the seafront and adjacent to the Lanes so its perfectly located. If you can't get into the hotel car park then there is an inexpensive car park right next door. The hotel is very old and quirky in places and there are lots of public spaces on the ground floor where you can chillax away from others if you want. The restaurant is good value and the buffet style breakfasts offer loads of choices. The staff are always very helpful and attentive. Given where it is and the quality and cleanliness of the rooms its great value for money.

GGuest UserBusy pub, limited menu, good access on foot to town centre, a large pay and display parking lot over the road, also on-street parking (difficult). Parking lot has disabled places, with other spaces charged on a pay and display basis. We had contacted The Dorset for advice regarding parking, specifically the availability of nearby blue badge permit parking. We received one line that 'the last time they looked there was parking'. Rooms are upstairs, our room as far away as possible, off a small dark hall. Motion-triggered lighting, albeit delayed, in other hall and corridors. I am surprised Health & Safety did not require a stair handrail to be fitted to stairs en route. Our room was small but adequate, a low, small double bed being the only place to sit. The furniture, of inferior quality, not durable, the rail inside the wardrobe, with a motley array of coat-hangers, detaches very easily. One low-wattage bulb in a low and small lamp on the cabinet on the far side of the bed. Tea/coffee was provided, also biscuits. bottled water and a kettle (not empty). The Lazza coffee maker is slightly incongruous, taking up, along with the small tv, most of a small desk. We put the machine underneath. Our view was an adjacent part of the building. The curtains, one of which was inside out, were kept closed by securing the bottom window on the hem.Heating was inadequate, the windows and the door both need insulation. Bathroom has all basics but no towel rail.Hand towels and bath mat, had to be draped on a small radiator by the w.c. Bath towels were not replaced, nowhere to hang or dry them. The basin was big and deep. It would be useful to have a plug. There was no plug at all, merely a hole into the unknown. The shower worked adequately, despite the broken hose. Drain was blocked, water drained extremely slowly, flood threatened. Hook was missing from bathroom door. Upon arrival, we said we would be eating in the pub that evening but we went downstairs at 7pm to be told the kitchen was closed for a private party. Self-service continental breakfast was adequate - choice of cereal, croissants, blueberry muffins, jam, various teas, orange juice, yoghurts, fruit (pear, clementine, one apple). We were the first down and the random, inadequate supply of cutlery (two cereal spoons, one knife,16 large forks and teaspoons), was unwelcoming, as was an almost empty milk jug. We were greeted pleasantly but immediately asked if we wanted toast. Very nice toasted bread it was, too but should be offered during the cereal course. Pats of butter supplied with the toast were enough, just, for the toast but none for either a croissant or a muffin. No offers of more toast. Choice of jams was limited, most being packets of blackcurrant or raspberry, two packets of marmite, several of strawberry and two packets of thin-shred marmalade. That was morning 1. Morning 2, the choice was diminished by the previous day's consumption so no marmalade at all. Had we been staying longer, by day 4 we would have been down to a couple of packets of blackcurrant jam only. Our second morning was Saturday. The notice in our room said weekend breakfast was served 8.30-10.00; we marked time in our room, at the appointed hour going down, to be told that the room notice was incorrect, should have been replaced a couple of weeks ago, with breakfast 9.00-10.00. The breakfast girl was pleasantly apologetic, if off-hand, and eventually, breakfast was put out. This hotel is badly let down by its lack of attention to detail. It is clean, safe, the staff pleasant, but off-hand, not customer-oriented, room guests feel unwelcome. The rooms are all above the public areas, noisy during opening times but quiet when bar is closed. Our stay was okay but the lack of attention to detail/maintenance was irritating, distracting from what was to have been a relaxed visit. If there was a viable alternative, we would not stay there again..

GGuest UserI recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming hotel, and I can’t say enough about the wonderful experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. Every interaction — from the front desk to housekeeping — was warm, professional, and genuinely kind. It’s clear that guest satisfaction is a top priority here. One of the highlights of my stay was the hotel bar. Cozy, stylish, and expertly run, it was the perfect place to unwind in the evening. The bartender was not only skilled but also incredibly friendly, offering great conversation and even better cocktails. It felt less like a hotel bar and more like a local gem. Breakfast in the morning was another standout. The variety and quality of the offerings were impressive — fresh pastries, perfectly cooked eggs, seasonal fruits, and rich, aromatic coffee that started the day off right. The dining staff was attentive and cheerful, making the experience even more enjoyable. This hotel is a true example of hospitality done right. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

AAnonymous UserOur stay in Eastbourne was great as the location of the hotel accommodation is near the sea, the city and walkable from the Train Station. The reception (Amel) was very accommodating. The room is not the best (with few hair on the floor and some stained towels), however manageable as we brought spare towel and just cleaned and made the area comfortable for out stay.

GGuest UserThe room was not large, but it felt modern and clean, just like the picture! The location was good, but it was disappointing for a place where 4 people went and paid 80,000 won per person. There was no elevator and the bathroom was shared... ㅠ But I think that date was a bit expensive. I looked up other dates and it was just a little cheaper. I would have been 99% satisfied! The bathroom was clean, but there was no shampoo. They gave us one towel each.

AAlvinBReview of a Fictional Hotel Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4/5 stars) Title: A Pleasant Stay with a Few Minor Hiccups My recent stay at the Leonardo Royal Hotel Brighton was, on the whole, a very pleasant experience. The hotel's location is a definite highlight—it’s just a two-minute walk from the bustling Brighton Pier and a stone's throw from some fantastic independent coffee shops and restaurants. This made exploring the city on foot incredibly easy and convenient. The staff were a particular standout. From the moment we checked in, the front desk team was welcoming, professional, and genuinely helpful. They provided us with a map and some excellent recommendations for local places to eat, which were spot on. Our room was also a great feature; it was spacious, very clean, and the bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in at a hotel. While my stay was largely positive, there were a couple of minor issues that kept it from being a perfect 5-star experience. Overall, I would highly recommend the Leonardo Royal Hotel Brighton particularly for those looking for a great location and a comfortable stay. The fantastic staff and clean, well-appointed rooms make it an excellent choice for a weekend getaway. While there are a few small areas for improvement, I would certainly consider staying here again on my next visit to Brighton.

They clean every two days but always ask you if you need to change towels or re-switch the water or the shampoo. The decoration is very nice and simple, with modern pictures and new furniture. Llann94High hopes but this feel quite short in a number of ways. From the photos the room looked lovely and this did match up. However it did become apparent that aesthetics have been prioritised over other aspects. The pub/club opposite was still incredibly noisy at 2am (on a Tuesday) with the windows doing nothing to muffle the noise. There was fast food rubbish found next to one of the beds from a previous occupant, and this was quite a large wrapper that would have been difficult to miss during cleaning. Communication around bed preference was not good at all, I had specifically asked for a king (and have the evidence of this in my booking details) yet on arrival twin beds were set up. When I raised this with the company, there was no offer of rectifying this, instead I was told more than once that this had been the request. To add insult to injury, our neighbours in the room next door invited some friends to their room and it seemed they were having their own party at 3am with shouting, giggling and loud music and more than 5 in the one room. We knocked on the door in the end to request some quiet as, with the club outside, we were completely surrounded by noise. One small plus point that, once we managed to get to sleep, the bed (albeit the twin I hadn’t requested) was very comfortable.
