Holiday Inn Resort Zhangjiakou Chongli Reviews

I stayed at a nice local hotel conveniently located just a five-minute walk from Fulong Snow Park. While my room was slightly dirty, it wasn't enough for me to raise a complaint; it felt as though the cleaner might have been in a hurry. I attempted to order room service, but unfortunately, no one answered the phone. Breakfast offered a mix of Chinese and Western dishes, but I found it lacking compared to other hotel breakfasts I've experienced. One downside was that there was no way to book tickets for the snow park directly through the hotel. Perhaps there was a method, but it wasn't available in English. At Fulong Snow Park, I encountered difficulties as the English-speaking window had no staff who could assist in English. It was quite challenging to navigate everything. Fortunately, I managed to find an English-speaking ski instructor named Alex, who I highly recommend. Although this is unrelated to the hotel, I felt it was worth mentioning!

Very nice hotel with huge rooms and a prefect location close to the Fulong Ski area. Only negative is the high temperature in the room (27degrees) during the night which was not adjustable and what made us hard to sleep.

The Holiday Inn Resort Zhangjiakou is a great hotel with only 5min walking distance from the Forlong Ski/snowboard area. We stayed in a family room with bunk bed and our kids loved it. Breakfast is very good as well with choice between Western and Asien food. If your Chinese is not so good, a few employees can speak English as well. We definitely would come again.

the service was great and the location was perfect. but the food options were limited and no room service after 10 pm. night ski ends at 9:30pm and would be great if there are midnight snack options or at least fill the minibar with some amenities or etc.

We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed skiing. The slopes are well prepared and easy to ski. We enjoyed CNY at the hotel and also the F&B Arrangement did meet our expectations - even though we are European. I would like to mention that the staff was very helpful - especially Hannah (Front office) and also both the F &B Manager and Housekeeping Manager made sure we were well looked after and all three spoke very good English. Thank you very much and we will visit again.

The hotel is nice and the breakfast is rich, but the room temperature is high and cannot be adjusted. You can only open the balcony door to cool it down, otherwise you can't sleep. The hotel room can't see the whole ski resort, and the lower floors can't see it. The hotel is not far from Chongli District, about ten minutes walk, and dinner in the city has more choices and is more affordable.

Facilities: Well maintained, relatively new overall, humidifier in the room is good Hygiene: Clean and tidy Environment: Next to Fulong Ski Resort, 3 minutes walk away. Service: Pay attention to the check-in experience during peak season, it is very uncomfortable to wait too long.

The hotel is close to the ski resort. Although it is not ski-in and ski-out, it is very convenient. If you book a stay-and-ski package, you can exchange the ski pass directly at the hotel front desk. For meals, you can take a taxi to the county town or Aranya, both of which only take 5 minutes. Personally, I think Aranya has more delicious restaurants and a better environment.
