Mochi Luxury River View Resort Hotel (Yangshuo Xingping Ancient Town Lijiang Branch) Reviews

We slept one night during our stay in Xingping. The location is perfect, just next to the main street, 1 min walk to the ferry which takes you to the other side where you'll find buggies that take you to the top of the Xianggongshan mountain and 15 min walk to the bamboo rafts where the true landscape of the 20 CNY bill lies. The hotel workers don't speak English but do all the efforts to help you out by using the translator. The boss/manager however, speaks perfectly English. If you have WeChat you'll be added to a chat where you can talk to her and ask anything you want. She will also help you with any ticket booking that you need. In a matter of minutes they organized tickets for both the bamboo raft (which in Yangshuo was almost impossible to get if you didn't queue up at 6 am...) and helicopter (highly recommended!). So we were truly impressed by how they helped us out, since we had the idea of what to do but clearly needed this efficiency and local contacts to do it smoothly. The room was very spacious and all amenities needed (they didn't have an iron in the room but it took 2 minutes for them to bring it to our room when we asked :) ). We had a great view on the 4th floor (also very recommendable as the street is very close and the high floor might add some extra privacy. The rooms clearly state the floor when you book them, so take the advantage!). There is some room for improvement in the lobby but we passed on our feedback and they seemed very eager to improve, so we truly believe it can only get better. We weren't told the breakfast options nor saw any facilities to serve it but as an exception we bought some stuff at the mini market right next to the hotel entrance which was very convenient. The check-out was relatively flexible and we were given an extra hour which was a blessing for us after a sweaty hike on the Xianggongshan mountain. All in all we were very happy with our stay!

What an outstanding hotel! The view from the room is breathtaking and the quality of the hotel is great! The staff are so wonderful and helpful and made the stay so easy by recommending activities and organising transfer back to airport! I have stayed in many nice hotels all around the world and I think this is number 1!! The rotating bed and HUGE TV are definitely highlights after the insane view! Absolutely incredible!!

Great location right next to the ancient town and across from laozhai mountain. We got a “suite” which was basically 2 connecting rooms. Everything was new and fairly functional - though you can tell that a lot of the finishes are cheap despite its name that it’s a luxury hotel. Beds were too firm for our liking. Out view from our second floor room was of the street, so not a lot of privacy. Might be able to get nicer views if on third or fourth floor. Fine for a night or two. Staff do not speak much English. Breakfast wasn’t being offered at the restaurant which wasn’t a problem as it is located by lots of restaurants. However it is difficult to find food suitable for western palettes.

It was my first time to book a homestay on Ctrip. I was quite nervous before, but when I got there, I felt that it should be the best homestay in Xingping Ancient Town. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable, not inferior to a 5-star hotel. The family room was really suitable for a large family, and it was right next to the ferry. It was very convenient to take a boat to the opposite Xianggong Mountain, and it was not far to take a bamboo raft and walk there. It is worth recommending. The view from the viewing platform on the 5th floor is very good. The coffee shop in the town opened very late. The nearby Kudi and Ruixing were not open at 8 am. Coffee lovers can't stand it.

The room is very beautiful with a great view. You can check in at the scenic spots without leaving the house! It's really worth it to bring friends here! The store owner's service attitude is also very good. He helped take the luggage to the room and provided very considerate service!

The owner at the counter kindly welcomed me, and I felt like my travel fatigue was gone. The rooftop view was great, and the location of the accommodation was great. I want to stay here again next time I come to Singping.

The hotel is generally good. We called in advance and added WeChat. There is also a housekeeper group. Basically, we answered all questions and responded promptly. The location is good, just opposite the pier in the town, but the view of the room is still a bit poor, because the floor is not high and the view is blocked. The facilities in the room are intelligent, the floor-to-ceiling windows are transparent and soundproof, and although it is facing the street, you can hardly hear the noise outside. The service staff are very enthusiastic, there are not many parking spaces, and it must be tight during the peak season.

I am very satisfied with the room, clean and comfortable, and the bedding feels good on my skin. The lady at the front desk is very enthusiastic, the service is very good, and the recommended restaurants are delicious. Overall I am very satisfied and will stay there next time!
