Absolutely incredible stay at this hotel- the view was worth it, as was the novelty of staying at 3100 m! The meals were excellent and the staff very friendly and welcoming. We would highly recommend staying here and having this unique experience.

My stay at this hotel was a wonderful experience! The hotel was priced at 500 euros per night for my room... Personally, I thought it was well worth it! This is because (1) A light course dinner is included (2) Breakfast buffet is included (3) It costs 60 euros round trip & takes about 1.5 hours to climb up here, so you can't get up and down so much and you don't know the weather on the mountain. The mountain railroad ends at 20:00 at night, so from then until morning, the top of the mountain will be monopolized by hotel guests. So, considering all these factors, I thought it was rather a good deal. In fact, I was able to capture the cloudless Matterhorn on my way home after checking out at the very end! So I recommend this hotel

Really cool experience

It was my first time in Switzerland and it was a very good experience. If you want to see the Matterhorn up close, see the stars at night, and ski, it is worth coming here. The dinner is quite regular and tastes very good. The breakfast is a buffet. Although it is below zero outside, the room is very warm. BTW, it is very dry, so you need to turn on the humidifier.

A perfect journey. I stayed in the Durrenhorn room for two nights. The Matterhorn is outside the window. It used to be in the clouds, but now it is in front of my pillow. I was reluctant to draw the curtains at night, so I was woken up by the moon at 1 a.m., woken up by the stars at 5 a.m., and got up again at 7 a.m. to wait for the sunrise. The scenery was so stunning that I felt like I didn't need to sleep. Dinner was decided by the chef every night. The main course on the first day (cheese with potatoes and corn shoots) felt average, but the mushroom soup and crispy pork on the second day, as well as the desserts on both days were delicious.

It is especially recommended to ski enthusiasts as a paradise for skiing. People from the motherland come here. Many fathers from Shanghai bring their sons to ski, honeymooners and tourists.

The front desk manager of this hotel, Thomas Marvbach, has a very serious integrity problem. I booked a relatively large room of 18 square meters with two windows, but he arranged a small room of 14 square meters for me when I checked in. When I checked in, I reminded him that I booked a large room, but he gave me a small room, and he told me that all rooms are the same size. I stayed for 4 nights, and only found out on the last day that he lied and gave me the wrong room. This situation is really too much! ! Can Ctrip give me a satisfactory answer to this?

The train was stopped due to strong winds, so there was no access to the hotel. The hotel quickly emailed me with suggestions for alternative hotels. I was able to stay at a partner hotel for the same price. However, the alternative hotel plan was cheaper than the room I paid for, so I am not satisfied with the price. We couldn't do anything about the weather, but I'm glad they responded quickly. It seems that trains sometimes stop due to weather. The hotel can only be reached by train from Zermatt.

The hotel at 3100 meters is indeed extraordinary. The dinner was a bit unpalatable, but the breakfast was very good. More importantly, you can see the night view of the Matterhorn and the beginning of the day. It is really worth the price.

The sunrise and sunset on the top of the mountain are amazing. Looking at the starry sky and the Milky Way on the top of the mountain in the middle of the night is amazing. The dinner provided by the hotel is also very delicious, and the breakfast variety is also quite rich. I want to come next time
