Kind host, good quality bedroom, good location, warm and cozy house

This is a B&B type accommodation. It is located in the center of Yellowknife, so it was very convenient. The room was clean and there were no problems. Personally, I really liked that it had a washlet even though it was overseas. The Aurora viewing is basically done late at night, but the rules for after returning home late at night are clear, so I think there are few problems. I recommend it if you want to see the Aurora.

The living room can only be used until 10pm. There was no advance notice. I was just quietly using my phone, but the owner hurried me back to my room. I would understand if they were talking or being noisy, but it was unpleasant even though I was just quietly using my phone. Also, I think showers are only available after 10pm? You can't take a shower at night. I arrived at night and wanted to take a shower and sleep, but I couldn't. Also, the room smelled when I entered the entrance. The cleaning staff was friendly.

The owner was very energetic and friendly and easy to talk to. We rented a car, but it was convenient that there was a little more space to park the car.

I am 33 years old and live in Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan. This time I went on a solo trip to see the Northern Lights. There are taxis lined up at the exit of Yellowknife Airport, so it is easy to catch a taxi. After getting in the taxi, I used the time meter to head to the hotel. The Chinese owner was very kind and treated me very well. I was very worried about traveling alone this time, but he explained everything carefully and I felt very relieved. Coffee and tea are available in the facility. You can also cook freely, so if you want to save on travel expenses, I think you can save a lot by buying ingredients at the supermarket and cooking. The hotel bath is shared and is shared by one person. Body soap, shampoo, and hair dryers are also available and can be used free of charge. The owner cleans it beautifully every day, so I was able to use it comfortably! However, if you are going on an Northern Lights tour, please be careful about the bath! ! The bath cannot be used between 11:00 pm and 6:00 am because the guests may be asleep. If you want to take a bath, please take a bath after 6:00 am. By the way, I participated in the Aurora tour with Nanook Aurora Tour, which is run by a Japanese person. If you want to go on an Aurora tour, you should definitely go with Nanook Aurora Tour!! When I had to return to Japan suddenly this time, I was in a hurry due to an accident such as a flight cancellation, but the owner arranged for me to be picked up and dropped off at the airport, and he also said, If there is no accommodation available if the flight cannot be flown, I can stay for a bargain price of $60! I was very relieved and really happy that he was so kind and considerate when I was in a lot of trouble. We're all in this together when we're in trouble. I'm very nervous about traveling alone, but... I'm really glad I went. When I visit Yellowknife again, I'd like to stay at this accommodation again. It is located downtown, so you can walk to tourist attractions, and most of all, the owner was kind and the coffee was delicious:) I think it was nice because the house was warm and clean.

When I first entered the entrance, the owner was not there, and there were more than 10 pairs of shoes scattered around the entrance, with no slippers to be found. When I checked the room number of the room I was planning to stay in without taking off my shoes, I heard someone who seemed to be the owner's family speak in discriminatory language, saying that a JAP had come. I felt very uncomfortable. I could not find slippers in the room either. I would not want to use yk Aurora BB again. The owner was cheerful and had a normal attitude. I felt that he should not underestimate Japanese people.

I was able to see the Northern Lights safely and had the best birthday of my life. The supermarket and nearby tourist spots are within walking distance.
