The best location of Yangzhou.

The location is excellent, Yechun is just outside. It is very close to attractions such as Geyuan Dongguan Street. It is a well-established state guesthouse with very good service. The two Yangzhou masters at the door are very distinctive, and their warm service mixed with Yangzhou accents is quite friendly. Room service is also very good. The price-performance ratio is super high in the off-season. Very satisfied!

The hotel facilities are elegant and unique, clean and tidy, the service is thoughtful, the breakfast is rich in variety and delicious, it is a very good experience.

The rooms are well-equipped, comfortable, spacious and bright. The service staff is friendly and professional. The hotel has a beautiful and elegant environment, a superior location, and a rich and varied menu with good taste.

The hotel has complete and elegant facilities; although the room decoration is a bit old, it is well maintained and cleaned (the tables, chairs, and bathroom appliances are wiped with alcohol wipes every time you check in), and no dust was found; the front desk, cleaning staff, doormen (older) and restaurant service staff were all very warm and polite, and responsive, especially the uncle who guided the guests in the lobby, who not only helped the guests with their luggage and sent them to the elevator, but also introduced the hotel services and the use of room supplies, which was very considerate; the environment inside and outside the hotel is beautiful and pleasant, and it is right next to the Royal Wharf and Yechun Head Office, which is very convenient for sightseeing and dining.

1. We booked two sets of executive king-size rooms from March 10 to 12, 2025. After we arrived in the afternoon, the two waitresses at the front desk checked for a long time and said that there was only one set, not a second set. We informed your hotel of the process of confirming the order and showed them the confirmation SMS. It took you a long time to confirm that our order was there, which only shows that you are not familiar with the business! 2. We requested a non-smoking room, and the waitress immediately replied that there were no non-smoking rooms available, but the room could be treated. We also said that there is none on the 6th floor, can you give us any floors above the 6th? The waitress immediately said that the 7th to 9th floors were all suites and could not be provided. We believed it then! As a result, we found out the next day that floors 7 to 9 were non-smoking areas and that there were not only suites but also other room types. This shows that the front desk clerk is dishonest and unprofessional, and is suspected of bullying the elderly (we are all over 60 years old). They don't have the qualities and behavior that a waiter in a 5-star hotel should have! 3. Because we felt the quilt was too heavy, we asked the waiter for a quilt cover. We brought our own disposable four-piece set, and we planned to take out the quilt and put the quilt cover back in. When they took out the quilt, they found a large stain (blood) on it. We immediately complained to the service desk, the waiter confirmed the facts, and their supervisor brought a small plate of fruit as an apology. 4. What bothered us most was the strange smell in the room (a mixture of smoke and other smells). Although we had opened the windows throughout the whole process and the door was open for a long time when entering the room, there was still a strange smell when we slept. 5. When staying in an executive room, you should enjoy the corresponding treatment. However, when we checked in, we were told that the executive lounge bar was closed for maintenance. As a result, the waiter reluctantly gave us a voucher for a one-time use of the hotel tea room, saying that it was an extra gift, without us realizing that this was the compensation we should receive! The above-mentioned unprofessional behavior of the waiters is totally inconsistent with the status of an old state guesthouse. Made our experience very bad!

The one star for the service is for the doorman, he was very nice and considerate. The following is an objective description, and the content in brackets is my true psychological reaction at the time. I arrived at the hotel around 2pm. When I checked in, I was informed that the executive lounge was closed. When I asked why, they said it was under renovation (then they should have informed me at the time of booking. Why did they tell me only at check-in? Never mind, I was already here, so I would just as long as there weren't a bunch of tour groups eating breakfast together). I was told that there was only one north room on the seventh floor, as all the others were booked by tour groups (after the fun, breakfast would be a mess, how unlucky, it’s a bit too late to change places now). When I entered the room, I felt very hot and thought the air conditioner had not been turned on yet. After settling my things, I went out to play with my family. When I returned to the room at about 7pm, I still felt hot. The air conditioner control panel showed that the air outlet temperature was 24 degrees, so I turned up the air volume. It was 8:21, which was the time told to me by the lobby manager afterwards. I called the room service to ask why the air conditioner was not cold, and received a 200-word operating guide. I said that the operation was correct and they would reply to my questions later. About five minutes later, they called me back to say that the air conditioner was not turned on during the day (ten thousand? +!, the temperature today was 19 to 31 degrees). The equipment room said it would be turned on immediately and please wait 59 minutes (this time point is really mysterious). After 9:30, the room service, that is, button 5, always remained busy... We arranged for the elderly to take a shower first. The water was sometimes strong and sometimes weak. The sun shower above kept dripping cold water. There was water leaking from the gap under the bathroom door no matter how we closed the door. The floor mat was already wet, so we had to put a big towel there to prevent the elderly from slipping. At around 11:30 at night, the room was abnormally hot and stuffy, the air conditioning control panel showed 22 degrees (the outdoor temperature was 19 degrees), and the customer service phone button 5 continued to be busy (I couldn't stand it anymore, the elderly at home had finally fallen asleep, and I was afraid of disturbing them if I went to find the waiter). The elderly at home did not sleep well the previous night, so they got up at 5am and went downstairs to have breakfast. The temperature in the elevator lobby was comfortable and cooler than the room! ! ! There weren't many people at breakfast, no more than fifty, and it didn't look like there were many tour groups. When picking up the food, I saw an auntie dressed as a waitress jumping at the boiled egg table and putting the eggs in her pocket. Another auntie dressed in the same way was beating milk in front of a milk bucket with a stainless steel cup. Another one brought a plate of fried dough sticks and smelled it while sending it to the breakfast table (I didn't dare to eat it). When I returned to the room, it still showed 24 degrees. The function of button 5 returned to normal. I called to ask if the air conditioner was broken. Why didn’t the temperature drop after being turned on all night and was even hotter than outside? The answer I got was: they were afraid that some guests would be afraid of the cold, so they turned off the air conditioner at night (are some guests physically or mentally disabled? Didn’t the room service teach in detail how to use the air conditioner controller in the room?)! ! ! Well, although we booked four nights, one night is beyond my cognition. Goodbye, Xiyuan, see you forever! Even if I spend a little more money to stay in other hotels temporarily, I will not stay in Xiyuan again.

Convenient for travel, you can walk to Dongguan Street, Yechunyu Wharf Store is right at the door, you don't have to rush for morning tea, the room is clean, and there is a cloakroom. Fruits and yogurt are replenished every day, breakfast has Yangda yogurt and the hotel's secret yogurt, and the staff in the lobby are very polite.

It was my first time in Yangzhou and I had a great experience! This is thanks to our choice of Yangzhou Xiyuan Hotel. At first, it was because this hotel seemed to be convenient to various attractions. When we arrived at the hotel, we found many advantages and advantages. Geographical location: Caihong Bridge is at the door, and we had tea at Yechun Tea House. We also had dinner there, which was very good. Geyuan and Guandong Street are just a short walk away. Slender West Lake and Zhu Ziqing's former residence are very convenient. Hotel decoration (one of the earliest hotels in Yangzhou): The lobby is quite standard, and you can still feel the solemnity and dignity of the year. The service attitude is sincere. There is a younger gentleman at the door, and his service makes you feel at home. Very good! We upgraded to an executive room. The room is large, the decoration is quite standard, and there is a large cloakroom, which is very convenient. The sofa is too old and dirty. Everything else is very good. The bathroom is large and clean, and the overall lighting is not bad. The breakfast is really average, but the yogurt is super delicious. I recommend you to try it.

The location is excellent. There is Yechun just outside the door. Opposite Yechun there is a Shanyue Restaurant which is particularly good. I went there for two consecutive days. Xiyuan old hotel is safe and secure, clean and sanitary. It has everything you want, especially the breakfast, which is particularly rich and the small wontons are delicious 😋!

Clean and sanitary, comfortable room, pleasant environment, convenient transportation, you can walk to Slender West Lake, Dongguan Street, Ge Garden and other attractions, the staff is considerate, upgraded to an executive room, very satisfactory accommodation experience, next time I come to Yangzhou, I will stay here again!

The hotel environment is very good, near the south gate of Slender West Lake, very convenient, there are many restaurants around, free upgrade to the executive suite, the room is spacious, the facilities are good, very quiet, slept soundly, the service is also very good, and there are free drinks in the refrigerator.

It was my first time to Yangzhou. Xiyuan Hotel was quiet in the bustling city, and the landscaping was very good. It was very close to the surrounding attractions, and the geographical location was advantageous. Tianning Temple was next to the door, and 468 Market and Geyuan Garden were 7 minutes' walk away. It was very close to Slender West Lake and Heyuan Garden. I stayed there for 2 days during this trip, and the elders at home also felt very comfortable. I would stay there again if I went there next time. The hotel is also historical, and there may be some defects, but the hotel is also actively dealing with them. (After notifying the front desk about the problem with the bedside socket, they replied within 30 minutes to arrange for it to be handled the next day. Sure enough, it was repaired when I returned to the hotel after the tour the next day.) The hotel staff were polite and considerate, and took the initiative to greet people. It made people feel at home.
