Saifuya Ryokan Reviews

I had a really wonderfull stay at this cosy Ryokan in Yanagawa. Though most people come to Yanagawa as a day trip from Fukuoka, I think its a nice enough place to stay for a couple of nights. The ryokan is in an old fashioned style building, so it transports you to a different feeling in time. The people who ran it were very generous, offering me snacks and tea constantly, even a welcome ice cream! Their warmth and comfort added to the atmosphere of the place. The room I chose was spacious, with a large window, air con, a TV and comfortable tatami floors. The atmosphere is very traditional, and when it rained, it felt rather peaceful. They are located 15 minutes's walk from the station, it's easy to walk to any location in the town, and when you do so, you get to see lots of hidden small canals and amazing buildings. Even close to the ryokan is a hidden shrine. There are lots of restaurants in the area serving the local speciality Unagi (Grilled Eel), which I highly recommend trying.  I would definitely stay here again! The best part is downstairs, they have a Jazz bar (Kissa) called Groovy, the owner was fun to talk to, he had many records from over the years and interesting stories to share. As a lover of Japanese jazz culture, this was the best thing ever. 

This is a rustic home with friendly owner, breakfast spread is plenty. Take note it's a shared toilet and shower.

Very quiant little ryoken with a lot of family history. Great breakfast and amazingly warm hospitality.

Great location, kind and helpful staff

A traditional ryokan in a good location close to many restaurants. It is an older establishment but was still very comfortable. The owner is very friendly and helpful and made our stay enjoyable. She made a beautiful breakfast for us which included smoked eel which is traditional for the area. We would stay again if we visited Yanagawa again.

The hotel is in a great location, just a few minutes' walk from the pier, large supermarkets, and West Railway Station. The hotel is an old house with a history of 76 years. It is very beautiful, and each area is very well decorated. The landlady is very good at providing service, kneeling service at the door. The most exciting thing should be the breakfast, which is rich in variety, with exquisite scenery and taste, which exceeds the grade of the hotel. The view from the restaurant window is also very elegant, and the emotional value of eating breakfast is full

The B&B is a 75-year-old building, but it is very clean. The proprietress is very welcoming. She drove us to the cruise terminal and then to the station. The breakfast was also very rich. The only regret is that the bathroom is not in the room.

Stayed for 2 nights. The lady boss was very polite and gave us plum wine and snacks when we checked out. The B&B is very close to the pier. There is a large supermarket nearby. The transportation is also very convenient. You can take a bus to Saga Terminal.

The owner of the hotel is very kind, the room is very clean and comfortable. The breakfast is particularly rich, and staying in a traditional Japanese family hotel has a unique flavor

This is a traditional Japanese inn. If you like Japanese style, the layout of the building makes it a fun place to stay. The couple who run it were friendly and easy to talk to. There was also a friendly cat, which was very comforting. There is also a boat dock nearby for going sightseeing, so it should be easy to do some sightseeing.

Put down the baby and wife with the tour, booked this hotel, it was tatami, except the washroom and bathroom outside, all the other greetings all kinds of hygiene is very good, will come again once again this inn. P.SDon't forget to get up early for breakfast, breakfast will scare you too rich. 

It has a Japanese home-like feel. Breakfast is excellent and they are really friendly. Since it is romantic, don't expect much from the facilities. Anyway, it is a good memory.

The owner was very kind and the Japanese feel was really great. I will go again next time.
