Absolutely lovely place. At first I thought I'd be uncomfortable with how spaceous the room was (I'm a very jumpy solo traveller), but the room was just so comfy with an excellent view. The heater was a bit hot, but there was an electric fan too, so all was great. The hotel allows you to have a free 50 minute private bath each night, and the private baths are amazing, able to accommodate up to five persons and with windows to let in the light and stuff. Excellent onsen water -- very acidic and very hot. Takes some time getting used to the heat, but once you do it's a heavenly experience. There are also public baths (free of charge) that you could enjoy throughout the night and into early morning (they're closed for cleaning only during 9-12 in the morning), one indoor and one outdoor, both connected to one another. The outdoor one is a bit small, but it's so refreshing to be able to flee from the stifling indoor onsen to enjoy the crisp winter air while soaking up in the heat.

The place is very cozy. Excellent service; the staff are all very friendly and supportive. Onsen is good quality and clean.

A great stay in this hotel. It isnt feels like a very new hotel but has everything i want. Snow views and private hot spring were amazing!

The location was right next to the bus station. They have shuttle bus to ropeway. The most amazing part was their private onsen which was free for hotel guess, it costed $2500 for 45 minutes. Hotel guests could enjoy one free time per day

Very friendly staffs, always able to solve our issues and requests. Good location, walking distance to ski. Great amenities provided and onsen. Hope can visit again, good job☺️

Nice staff and good for location

The staff there are friendly and even though they are elderly, they are full of energy and enthusiasm. The service was great and both breakfast and dinner were amazing.

Traditional Japanese style, good service, close to Yamako bus station, clean, open view

The hotel is right opposite the bus terminal, and the location couldn't be better! The hotel provides a free private hot spring bath, which feels average, but I went to use the public open-air hot spring the next day, which was a better choice! At night, there are not many commercial activities near Zao, and there are not many restaurant options. It is a better choice to stay in the hotel and have a banquet meal.

The hotel staff uses a translator to communicate, so verbal communication is no problem, and the arrangements are also very detailed. Meal times and free private bath reservation times are clearly listed on the paper. The hotel has a shuttle bus to Zao Ropeway Station, and we went there first. We went to the hotel after visiting Bingshu Plateau. Due to the heavy snow and heavy luggage, the coffee shop staff called the hotel car to pick us up, which was very nice. It is a nationally certified natural hot spring. It has a large bathhouse and a private hot spring (guests can use it once for free). It is a great experience. It is beautiful to soak in the open-air hot spring and watch the falling snow. But the hot spring floor is slippery and my sister slipped and hit her, so be careful when walking.

Good location and good service

The visible areas were clean, but there was a lot of dust behind the picture frames. The location was right in front of the bus terminal, so it was convenient to go anywhere. The owner and Mr. Nakai were friendly and helpful, and the maps they provided us with were useful for sightseeing. We were able to use one of the four private baths for free. I tried a sleeping bath, and it was very pleasant because of the strong acidity of the bath. There were plenty of towels, and the yukatas were clean. It was a little difficult to control the temperature in the room.

The location is first-rate, just a 30-second walk across from the Zao Bus Terminal. The facilities are old, but clean. You can reserve a private hot spring, and there is a hotel shuttle.
