Xining Chengxi District Hotels

This was the best hotel I stayed at in Xining! There was a Credit Suisse store right in the lobby, so convenient! Check-in was quick and the staff were very polite. The room was clean and tidy, the mattress was very comfortable, and there was even a humidifier in the room – perfect for the high altitude! Highly recommended! Also, there are so many delicious restaurants on Jiaotong Lane diagonally opposite!

Starting with the positives. The construction and decor was great. Showering space was also nice and new. Staff were also helpful and nice. Amenities are ok. Everything you would expect for washing up. But no AC for many rooms without windows is a travesty. Only a electric fan that can only blow for 1 hour at a time. Easy to get asphyxiated at night. Horrible stench of body odor and cigarette smoke was present when I entered my room. Hygiene seemed alright until I showered. And with a small waft of the towels a terrible stench of cigarette odor pierced my nostrils.. Expecting guests to wipe off with this odorous smell is disappointing. Water also leaks from the shower compartment into the toilet floor.

We had an upgrade when we arrived, a beautiful suite with a great view . Breakfast was great, mostly chinese but with lots of options. English is not spoken by the staff but it is not a problem. The location is perfect, just next to wanda shopping mall with lots of options to eat and buy. This hotel is a gem for the price.

The room was spacious and the facilities were all good. The location is excellent with plenty of snack options nearby, making food delivery incredibly convenient. The staff were very enthusiastic and responsive to our needs, which left us with a great impression of Xining. This hotel offers good value for money.

The front desk service was the highlight – every staff member had a warm smile, and the check-in process was efficient and swift. They proactively informed us about the hotel amenities and transportation routes. The room had excellent soundproofing, and the bed was just the right firmness, ensuring a great night's sleep. Overall, it was cozy and comfortable. This hotel is my top choice for travel accommodations, and I've already recommended it to friends. I'll definitely choose this place again next time.

After comparing a few hotels, I still decided to go with Sofitel! And I'm so glad I did, it was a truly nice experience. Firstly, the hotel has a fantastic design; it doesn't feel old or dated at all, and the facilities are impeccably maintained, definitely five-star standard. Secondly, the billiard and ping-pong rooms are a real highlight! Thirdly, the service was incredibly thoughtful. It just so happened to be my birthday during my stay, and my butler, Xiao Qi, thoughtfully delivered a birthday cake – I was truly touched!

We stayed here as a family with our child, and overall, our experience was incredibly satisfying. The hotel room was spacious, never felt cramped, and the cleanliness was impeccable – even the corners were spotless. The soundproofing was excellent, ensuring our baby slept soundly through the night. The staff were warm and attentive, proactively offering assistance. The floor was quiet and peaceful. There are plenty of restaurants and supermarkets nearby, making getting around very convenient. The bedding was soft and comfortable, and the hot water supply was consistently strong. The facilities are well-maintained, and it offers great value for money. It's definitely our top choice for family trips, and we'll be staying here again. The only minor drawback was the limited parking, but the hotel staff were incredibly responsible, directing and helping us find a spot. We later learned that parking is generally difficult in Xining, so we're even more grateful to the staff for reminding us that driving within Xining city isn't necessary, as taxis and buses are easily accessible right outside the hotel. All in all, it's our first choice for family travel and highly recommended.

Check out to praise the room's sleep equipment! I have heard that the mousse mattress is very good, and there is really nothing to say about the personal experience. The mattress is just soft and hard, fits the waist and back, and the whole person is relaxed when lying down, and sleeps very peacefully. There are two kinds of pillows, buckwheat pillows and memory pillows, no need to find the front desk to take, which one you want to use directly, sleep very fragrant all night, the store will choose the configuration too much, really recommend!

The front desk staff is warm and caring, meticulous and thoughtful. The room has a wide view and a high-altitude view of Xining. It is very suitable to choose this one for travel and residence in Xining.
