Hotel in the town with parking. Rooms were very big and comfortable, however we were woken up at 3 o'clock in the morning by guests in the reception area scaping their chairs on the solid floor we suggest the management get some felt bottoms fitted. The breakfast was good with plenty of coffee and the restaurant although had a limited menu everything we had was excellent. If it was not for the noise we would stay there again.

The Hotel Zum Schwanen is suffering from a shortage of skilled workers, which is why the restaurant opening times are currently (summer 2022) quite limited. That's a shame, because the menu looks great. Unfortunately, I was there on the days when the restaurant was not open, so I can't say much about that. However, the lady at the reception immediately had tips for evening meals without just referring to nearby restaurants. Her recommendations were based on her own experience, great. The single room was spacious and also suitable for working. The sunlight can be reduced using the roller shutters, then it stays cool even without air conditioning. My highlight was the breakfast, which can easily keep up with larger hotels. Starting with cloth napkins (I like that much better), through a wide range of warm offerings beyond scrambled eggs (including braised tomatoes with cheese, etc.) to fruit and various mueslis. They do that really well. There is also a fully automatic coffee machine and a tea maker in the entrance, so you are also supplied during the day. Important for those arriving by car: The parking spaces in front of the hotel have a parking disc, and you can only park there to check in and unload. Free parking means driving around the block to a large parking lot. From there, the hotel can be reached via stairs.

In July 2020 we spontaneously went to the newly created outdoor area of the Hotel zum Schwanen to "just have a drink". The waitress said to us very harshly: "No reservation - no service" although only one table was occupied. We wanted to leave but then we got the menu. When we told the waitress that we just wanted a drink, she became friendlier - "why didn't we say so right away". Since we were not asked, we were a bit irritated. So and now it comes - we sit outside and we weren't allowed to smoke. Conclusion: this restaurant with a beautiful terrace is only suitable for non-smokers. A pity !!!!! that the owner is so inflexible. Just a tip - you could split the upper area for smokers and the lower area for non-smokers.

Großes Doppelzimmer zu angemessenem Preis. Nicht ganz ruhig, da Straße nahebei. Frühstück ok. Leider etwas unpersönlich, obwohl familiengeführt. Halbpension war angeboten worden, fiel aber überraschend wegen Betriebsferien aus. Verkehrsgünstig gelegen, gute Wandermöglichkeiten in der Nähe.
