This is a trip with two children, and the children all gave five-star praise. The hotel facilities and services are very good, very suitable for parent-child leisure travel.
In addition to the welcome fruit on the first day, wolfberry and white fungus sweet soup was specially presented in the evening.
The buffet breakfast is very rich and better than expected.

The room was nice, but the service was not. When we checked into a room, it smelled particularly bad, so we asked the housekeeping aunt to take us to another room and asked her to go downstairs to change the room card. The aunt said she was busy cleaning other rooms and had no time to go downstairs. So we called the front desk to ask if she could bring it up, but the front desk aunt said in an impatient tone: ”Wait a moment, the aunt will come down to change the card, okay?” Then the housekeeping never came to help us change the room card. We went to the front desk to change it when we were going out. There were three or four people at the front desk at that time. Couldn't one person go up to change the card?

JJordenThis is really a very nice hotel, unexpected in a relatively small town. The room looks new and is very comfortable. I especially liked the cosy seating area near the window. Staff was exceptionally friendly as well. The immediate surroundings of the hotel are not very interesting, but the location is very convenient nonetheless: walking distance (20-30 minutes) to Qilou Old Street, only 2 bus stops away from the train station and also close to local buses to tourist areas such as Tonggu Ridge (though I've read not all sites there are open to foreigners, I mainly wanted to see Gusong fishing village and that's no problem) and Gaolong Bay. The only area of improvement is that this hotel has a tendency to keep calling customers before their stay (3 times I got an SMS in Chinese saying something like ”Meilin Hotel is going to call you, please pick up”, followed by a call from an unknown number). I can communicate in simple Chinese but am not great at doing phone calls in Chinese and in any case I hate this kind of insistent phone calls. I didn't pick up but after the second call checked with Trip.com what was wrong, expecting some major problem. It turned out the hotel just wanted to confirm a small change I had made to my booking, which had already been confirmed in the app anyway... While this attitude is perhaps meant as service, I perceived it as annoying and superfluous and I would strongly suggest the hotel stops harassing customers with phone calls unless there's a real emergency. Having said this, the staff on site in the hotel was exceptionally friendly and polite; this is one of the few hotels in China where staff members actually greeted me when I walked past reception, which was much appreciated! I definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again if I ever visited Wenchang again.

CCindy C XDFairly good location cos it’s centralized but anywhere in city you can always order food. Pls note there is no daily housekeeping. They only do the minimum eg clear ur bins, change towels and clean the toilets. The bed is unmade and the room itself (apart from toilet) is left as is. The aircon is also very difficult to control. The hotel also does not have a weighing machine for ur baggage. Apart from these we had a good stay as the room is big and has no smell.

The reception staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, especially Bella, who provided us with detailed information about the local area and ensured we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
An exceptional highlight was when we accidentally left some belongings behind after checkout. Mindy went above and beyond to assist us. She took the initiative to post our items to our next hotel in a different city and even covered the cost herself.
Overall, the staff were exceedingly helpful, and their outstanding service made our stay extraordinary. Highly recommended!

It has a bathroom and a balcony on both the upper and lower floors. It was very clean, the beds were neat and dry, and the living environment was very good. Ella added me on WeChat early in the morning and recommended nearby food, drinks and entertainment activities to me. She was very warm and thoughtful. The hotel is convenient to nearby attractions and has a good location. Very good stay experience.

GGuest UserIt should be a mid- to high-end hotel in the local area. The decoration is very ethnic and the service is warm. In particular, the auntie in charge of the linen took the trouble to add a quilt and fetch mineral water. It felt very comfortable. There is plenty of shower water, independent cold air conditioning, and two types of pillows to choose from. There are welcome fruits and candies in the lobby for you to pick up. The location is excellent, not far from Wennan Old Street, and there are many restaurants and shopping malls around it, as well as Luckin Coffee, Bawang Cha Ji and local drinks. There were two kids next door who were still making noise until almost midnight.

GGuest UserWe stayed a night at the hotel, the room we stayed was clean and hygiene, the front desk lady is so helpful and friendly.We so happy Trip.com provided free hotel breakfast and the hotel breakfast has various choice and delicious.
We also tried the famous Lao Pa Cha just 200m nearby the hotel. We have good stayed at the hotel.

Front desk not really helpful. Just want you to go as it was the whole time ”OK, OK...” and ”I'll take you to your room”...
But no help with luggage, nor an answer if the kitchen would have something for me to eat... I sent my list of allergies (gluten, dairy, egg, honey and soy) to the hotel's wechat the evening so that they could give it to the kitchen...
First room:
The fridge was not cold.
Bathroom floor wet and entrance floor dirty 😰
The manager came and was friendly and helpful. He helped me with my luggage to another room 8505, which was larger.
Here the fridge was also not really making cold and switched off when going out. They couldn't give an extra card for electricity.
In the morning the manager showed me the different food at the buffet that I could eat, but I never received the pork etc, he promised the previous evening, for breakfast nor answered my message when I asked if I should wait for it...
For breakfast I could eat the fruit and in a steam basket a piece of corn-on-the-cob, sweet potato, yam and taro. They also had corn flakes.
Interesting they had 3 milk options: cow milk, soy milk and coconut milk...
The second evening I spent an hour on Wechat with reception to find out if the kitchen could prepare something for me with my allergies - I did give it the previous evening.... Then I went for a walk on the beach... When I came back, they hadn't prepared the fish! The manager gave me a coconut with a straw to drink the juice...
So I only wasted my time to find out if they could prepare something - I did give them my list in Chinese of what I cannot eat...😰 Luckily I always have some food with me...
The fish tanks are outside the dining room so you can choose your fish fresh.... As in most places in China 😊

From the premises you go directly onto the beach!
Very nice quiet environment away from the crowds! After the fireworks at 21:00 the outside lights were switched off and then you only hear the sea...
If you do not have transport, it is a bit far, but if you want to go and rest for a few days, away from crowds, then this is a good place 😎🤠🌻🏝️🏖️

The hotel is very dated. Though the bedroom was decently clean, the bathroom was a mess. It had stain marks all over the walls. The groutings in the shower cubicle had mild dew stains and so was the anti-slip bath mat. It is definitely not fit to be used. The foldable wooden windows above the wash basin had rotted and the paint was coming off.
Coordination between front office and dining room staff was poor resulting in me being questioned about my eligibility to have breakfast. A moment of embarrassment. However the manager apologised and sent us a complimentary fruit platter and a pot tea.

GGuest User😄住了個套房 感覺還不錯 房間很乾凈 離海邊不遠走路10分鐘 在窗户上可以看到青嵐大橋和銅鼓嶺海灘 樓下有個超市買東西方便 這一片地區吃飯都不太方便 需要去三公裡外的鎮上 旁邊有公交站 去鎮上也算方便 打車12塊錢 或者去海邊的夜市 不過叫外賣還是有很多好吃的😋 我找老闆幫着聯繫租了個小電動 騎了一週給了100塊
