Response from Property: Very excited translation: This is a really nice hotel, which is unexpected in a relatively small town. The room looks new and very comfortable. I especially liked the cozy seating area near the window. The staff are also very friendly. The surroundings of the hotel are not very interesting, but the location is very convenient: walking distance (20-30 minutes) to Qilou Old Street, only 2 bus stops from the train station, and close to local buses to tourist areas such as Tongguling ( Although I read that not all attractions there are open to foreigners, I mainly wanted to see Ku Song Fishing Village, which was no problem) and Koh Rong Bay. The only thing that needs improvement is that this hotel has a tendency to constantly call guests before they check in (I received 3 text messages in Chinese that said "Merlin Hotel will call you, please answer" followed by an unknown phone number). I can communicate in simple Chinese, but not good at making phone calls in Chinese, and I hate the insistent phone calls anyway. I didn't answer the phone, but after the second call, I checked with Trip.com to see what was wrong, thinking there was something seriously wrong. Turns out the hotel just wanted to confirm a small change I made to the booking, which was already confirmed in the app... While this attitude may be a service, I think it's annoying and redundant, which I strongly It is recommended that hotels stop harassing customers with phone calls unless there is a real emergency. Having said that, the staff on site at the hotel were very friendly and polite; this is one of the few hotels in China where staff proactively greeted me when I walked past the front desk, which I really appreciated!
