The ONLY negative was the struggling a/c—didn’t help at all that outside heat temperature was 111. The staff was incredible!!! Friendly and helpful—would definitely stay here again!

Rooms smelt moldy/ musky, seen several roaches, ac flooded the carpet which might explain the moldy smell.. horrible hotel

Air conditioning not working properly, breakfast was terrible, and rooms were dirty and dusty. Found a dirty sock on the floor from a previous guest. We don’t sleep well thinking something would crawl in our bed! I would spent the extra money for a nicer hotel. This hotel needs to be rejuvenated!

This is a solid hotel for the cost. It is a bit rundown and the rooms could use a good clean, but appreciate that it is best friendly and convenient to the highway, so a good option for a roadtrip stop.

The room was spacious and wonderful. The lady at the front desk was super nice. We totally enjoyed our stay. This will be our go to hotel if we are ever in Vicksburg again!

I grade this particular La Quinta at about Stage 3 in the five stages of La Quinta decay. Stage 1 is when they’re brand new and great values. Stage 5 is when they’ve become unlivable. La Quinta’s in general don’t maintain their hotels after they build them and this one is showing the signs, though it’s still a good value and just fine (for me) on a one-night stay. Fixtures were going bad and the gym contained two cardio equipment, none of which worked. (The elliptical was so badly rusted, you couldn’t barely get it to move.). The lobby and the breakfast is still nice. The area is okay, it’s very close and off the same exit as the Vicksburg Battlefield which was an appeal to me.

Very noisy hallway with doors and elevators open and shutting. They offered a limited breakfast which provided waffles but the fork and knife were so weak plastic that you couldn’t cut the waffle.

My stay did not happen. Upon arrival, they couldnt find my confirmation. Then they checked me into a room that was not cleaned yet from last occupant. Then I was told they had no empty rooms. Finally, they tried to find me a room at another hotel of much less standards. In all my 73 years, I have never been so humiliated and frustrated. End result, We drove home 3 hrs away. I will never stay there again.
