Smile Hotel Shinagawasengakujiekimae

Shinagawa
A reasonably pleasant hotel - new, cheap, clean, quiet and next to train station station. Did not hear any noise from outside or through the walls. On negative side the room was small but sufficient for a single person travelling on business. I also didn't like the available amenities (small selection) and having to put used towels and trash outside the room by myself as the room service is available after every 3rd night. Overall I'll be happy to stay there again if I'm in that area next time.
Smile Hotel Tokyo Ayase Ekimae

Our stay in this hotel went smoothly: the room was not too small and had everything we needed. The staff was very welcoming and helped us a lot. The only considerable minus is its location, it took us about 40 minutes one way to get to the downtown stations like Shinzuku, Shibuya or Ginza. Everything else was above our expectations.
Smile Hotel Tokyo Asagaya

I stayed for one night. It's in a very convenient location with good access from the station and many restaurants in the surrounding area. However, it seems the room I stayed in hadn't been cleaned, as there was hair in the bathroom and toilet, and the amenity towels were dirty, which was disappointing. I mentioned this to a staff member and they took care of it right away. As the hotel is in a good location and the service is good, I hope they will put more effort into cleaning.
Smile Hotel Tokyo Nihonbashi

Tokyo Station/Nihonbashi
The receptionist speaks English, easy to communicate. The room size is normal for Japanese hotels, 2 people is okay. The luggage space is quite narrow, so it may be a little difficult to store things. Towels are changed every day, which is very good. The equipment in the room is complete. Some things need to be brought up from the lobby. Overall, it is convenient. Next to it is a Lawson that is open 24 hours, which makes it very convenient as well.

Ueno/Asakusa
Clean hotel with very friendly staff. The hotel also has a microwave, a washing machine, and a dryer. I had a double room and was alone; I think if you are two, it might be a bit small. The hotel is well located, about fifteen minutes from the metro, close to the Asakusa Shrine with a view of the Tokyo Skytree.

A very standard Japanese hotel, it's really enough for one person! And it's very cheap in a place like Tokyo. The hotel is in a good location too. It's only two minutes away from the subway station. There are also a circle of food and convenience stores around. It's close to Asakusa and Akihabara. I highly recommend UU for those with a limited budget! Super value, it doesn't take long to get to the city, and the Japanese railway is really great. And the keys are quite interesting hahaha
