First time staying in a hotel with public bath, and it’s amazing! Love the amenities provided too. Rooms are well kept and cleaned every night. Only confusion is whether they change the bath attires everyday for guests who stayed for multiple nights… Good job and would love to return again!

This hotel is great if u like onsen. We like to use the onsen every night after an exhausting day walking. Then enjoy a free ramen or ice cream. There’s free small simple ramen each night on the 2nd floor, free coffee, at the lobby, yakult & ice cream (15th fl) ( during specific time slot’s) We never used our room shower cos it’s tiny. We go to the public bathroom where u wash up sitting on a stool, then enjoy the Onsen & Sauna. Free drinks available at a drink machine in the sauna, also toiletries like shampoo & such. At the ladies washroom u can choose from a selection of shampoo & conditioner. But u can’t use the onsen if u have a tattoo. On the 15th floor, washing machine available for free, u gotta pay to use the dryer, but is quite cheap, we used about 300 yen to dry a full load of clothing. There’s also free manga, & a smoking area.
U get pick up extra towels at the reception, also stuffs like toothbrush, razor etc.
Hotel is within walking distance to many kombini’s, supermarkets ( I recommend Seiyu) & Sunshine City. Room is quite small though, but we had no trouble with 2 large suitcases. I like it that u can open the window to get fresh air, & it’s not far from the Ikebukuro station where all the shopping, food & actions are! I love going to the food street at Loft & Parco. Tobu is also amazing with lot’s of food & the biggest Daiso in Tokyo. We used the airport limousine bus to travel to & from Narita. Bus stop is at Sunshine City Prince hotel, ( 5 mins walk all flat terrain).
I would suggest the hotel make extra space by hanging up certain things, like the hair dryer, television. The walls are very empty, there can be more hooks, planks available for guests to place their stuffs or hand up a bag or jacket.
I also have a slight complain about the water kettle in our room. It won’t stop automatically when at boiling point, we asked the reception to change it, she said the cleaning lady will. But we found out the next day the kettle is still the same! We gave up cos sometimes communication in English isn’t totally ok with some staffs & just manually switch the kettle off every time it boils.
But all in all just some minor bugs, we did enjoyed our week-long stay here & will certainly consider coming back!

My family really likes staying at this hotel because there is a public bath, and there is free ice cream and yakult and there is also ramen every night, especially now that it is winter in Japan. It's a shame there's only 1 line train to Kondemacho and the station is also old. The hotel is very comfortable and breakfast is provided with bento sets and really traditional Japanese food.

Have stayed at apa hotels in Japan and was satisfied. Decided to stay in akihibara area again but stay at Dormy. Was excited to find for a similar cost I received a bigger room with a nicer onsen and they cleaned my room every day. Workers were courteous and worked hard to keep me satisfied. Only negative was a disappointing breakfast so we went to grocery next door and had what we wanted for a similar price. The only other issue is they should move the microwave downstairs to the seating area on entry area. Why put a microwave where the onsen or spa is. Its silly

It’s my 3rd time staying this hotel, it’s a Prefect room size for up to 2 people, I traveled alone yet I can imagine enough space to open two luggage, love their public bathroom, fully equipped and comfortable environment. Also enjoyed the ice cream after a relaxing bath. They also provide late night snack (noodles till 11pm) unfortunately I didn’t get a chance to try, sure it’s tasty as I saw few guests was having the noodles at their restaurant after 9pm

I recently stayed at the Dormy Inn Express in Asakusa and had a wonderful experience. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the warm and welcoming atmosphere of the hotel.
The location of Dormy Inn Express is fantastic, situated in the heart of Asakusa with easy access to popular attractions like Senso-ji Temple and the Asakusa Skytree. The hotel is also conveniently located near public transportation, making it easy to explore the rest of Tokyo.
The staff at Dormy Inn Express were extremely friendly and attentive, always ready to help with any inquiries or requests. Check-in was smooth and efficient, and I felt well taken care of throughout my stay.
The room itself was cozy and well-appointed, with all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was clean, and the complimentary Wi-Fi was fast and reliable.
One of the highlights of my stay was the hotel's onsen (hot spring) facility. After a long day of exploring the city, it was so relaxing to soak in the hot spring and unwind. The views from the onsen were also stunning, offering a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of Tokyo.
Overall, I highly recommend Dormy Inn Express in Asakusa for anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient stay in Tokyo. The combination of great location, friendly staff, and excellent facilities make it a top choice for travelers visiting the area.

Great stay at this hotel! Comfortable rooms, friendly staff, and excellent amenities. The location was convenient, close to popular attractions. Breakfast had a wide variety of options. Overall, a wonderful experience and would highly recommend to others. Will definitely return on my next visit to the city. Highly satisfied!
The room was bigger than I thought. I didn't try the breakfast and the bath. It was as the reviews said. The time was not friendly to women. I walked to the nearby bathhouse on the last night to take a bath. It was full of locals. There were many late-night snacks nearby. It was absolutely delicious to have a late-night snack after taking a bath. I stumbled into a shaomai (siu mai) shop. It was surprisingly delicious. Golden Tree BBQ was also good.

The hotel is ideally placed between Kanda and Akihabara station, allowing fast travel to almost any part of the city on a single train. Lovely view from the room window (floor 11) and from the breakfast restaurant where you can enjoy free noodles from 9.30-11pm.
The staff were incredibly polite and helpful, going out of their way to deal with every request.
The onsen is small but is nice for a quick relaxing bath and sauna. The ice cream afterwards is very refreshing.
Finally, the breakfast was outstanding. They undersell it as 'fish and steamed vegetables' but it is so much more! Simply delicious and so filling, we saved so much on lunch simply by eating well at breakfast.
Can't recommend Dormy Inn enough. Wish we were staying there again!

MMatthew-in-CantonI stayed in this hotel chain in another city before, and after staying in the Tokyo branch I was pleasantly surprised as my experience was better than I expected! For a hotel of this price the amenities are very nice and you can get a nice stay in a quiet neighborhood. Would highly recommend this chain
